This past weekend, our Nevada Rush ‘09 Blue competed in the U19 Silver tier of the “2026 Las Vegas Albion Memorial Cup Showcase.”

Coach Palma, pushing his to compete in an older age group, not only showed game, but finished in 1st Place of their Bracket & also got themselves into the Showcase’s Final Championship game!

In a scrappy match vs England’s “RED LIONS UK SIGMA SIXTH FORM BOYS,” our Nevada Rush Squad was able to wear down the competition, winning the Championship match, 2-1! 🏆🥇

The “Red Lions” struggled to keep 11 players on the pitch, as two (2) red cards were awarded their way. The constant pressure & oncoming, offensive attack was relentless and the game was won, on the pitch by the greater team that was displaying some stout fútbol! ⚡️🦾

As tempers flared & emotions weren’t controlled, post game shenanigans ensued after the final whistle was officially blown. Unfortunately, event organizers did not want to “award” the 1st Place trophy or “Finalist” medals to either side, but none-the-less, the score should be published as is, with Nevada Rush ‘09 Blue conquering their victory, outmatching & out-classing UK’s “Red Lions” on the pitch, playing , the !

Trophies & Medals can break, get lost & even collect dust, yet the memories accomplished are for ever! ♾️

Red Lions were a fun team to play against, as we welcome international competition onto our pitch! Only makes us better & stronger to play against those that step up, trying to contest our style of play! ⛓️ 💥

As Head Coach of the Nevada Rush Academy Team for the 2026/27 season, John Queeley brings a unique combination of professional playing experience, international perspective, and a passion for elite player development. A former professional player who competed internationally, including representing the St. Kitts & Nevis National Team in World Cup qualifying, Coach Queeley has spent years both on the field and in leadership roles helping guide players through every stage of the game.

With extensive experience coaching within elite youth environments and serving in technical leadership positions, his focus is centered on creating a true academy-style culture that challenges players to maximize their potential. Coach Queeley is committed to developing complete athletes, technically, tactically, physically, and mentally, while helping prepare players for opportunities at the collegiate, professional, and international levels.

“I’m excited to work with a group of ambitious players who are hungry to improve every day. Our goal is to create an environment that pushes players outside their comfort zones, accelerates development, and prepares them for the next level both on and off the field.

Coach Cesar will lead our U16 and U17 age groups for the upcoming season, and we couldn’t be more excited to add another young, experienced coach who is passionate about developing players and helping them reach the next level.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Coach Cesar grew up playing competitive club and high school soccer throughout Washington and Oregon. He is entering his third season as the Boys Varsity Head Coach at Desert Pines High School, where he has built a competitive and disciplined program while helping multiple players continue their soccer careers at the collegiate level. He also coaches at Indoor 5, helping young athletes grow both technically and tactically.

Coach Cesar’s mission is simple, develop, compete, and prepare players for opportunities at the collegiate and academy levels. Welcome to the Rush family, Coach! 💙
