Sandra is such a beautiful, kind, and hard working woman! She's been a member at the Southeast Camp Rhino location off and on since 2017 to now. She started with the 6 week challenge and now takes Coach Bri's 4:30pm Bootcamp class. Her favorite workout would have to be leg day and outside of the gym she enjoys hiking, going to national parks, and hanging with friends. Sandy's favorite moment at Camp Rhino was that she recently was able to run a mile without stopping! You go, Glenn Coco!! Working out at Camp Rhino has helped her take on those steep hills she comes across while hiking. One thing you may not have known about Sandy is she is currently saving up to get her bachelor's degree in American Sign Language/English Interpreting. Thank you so much for being such a lovely energy in the gym Sandy!!

Melissa's coach, Sabrina, asked her a few questions:
1. How long have you been a Rhino? My first Rhino class was 2011 - I purchased a Groupon for 6 weeks at Mission Hills Park. I wish I could say I've been going consistently ever since, but I'm just glad to be back now.
2. Which class do they go to? Usually the 6AM RhinoFit class at Camp Rhino HQ (southeast).
3. What is one of your most favorite Rhino memories? I loved the family fun event at HQ a couple years ago. The kids finally got a chance to try the rower and fell in love with it! Oh and there were slides!
4. What is your favorite workout/movement? Any WOD that doesn't include running.
5. What is your favorite thing to do outside the gym? Hang out with my two most awesome daughters. They've been right there alongside me all along.
6. What is something people may not know about you? I lived/worked on a cruise ship for 3 years before moving to Vegas.

Are you a little stuck ? Mentally, we hope you’d call us if you where physically stuck😉

Emily not only sets a high bar for physical strength but mental strength too! She absolutely crushes anything she puts her mind to! She does CrossFit and likes to pop into bootcamp every once in a while.

@i_rock_redken told me ‘I’ve been working towards crushing RX (doing the workout without modifying) since I walked through the Camp Rhino doors 6 years ago!

And indeed she did crush it yesterday.

I’m so proud of our rhinos who have been working towards their goals for YEARS.

So, in October of 2018 I went from couch to CrossFit. I had dabbled in the gym over previous years but this time I went full force.

I started with the @camprhinohq 6 week challenge. By the time October 2019 rolled around I was stronger, slimmer, and way more confident in my abilities.

Now it’s October 22,2020. Two years ago today I walked into Camp Rhino for the first time. I was scared and intimidated.

Despite feeling like a fish out of water and often like there was no way I could do “that” ( run, lift heavy things, etc) I kept going. Even though I fell into a quarantine/Covid/Virtual teaching slump and went MIA for almost 2 months, I’m back at it.

I may never be skinny, but I will definitely be strong. Working out at Rhino reminds me of what I am capable of. Looking forward to what year 3 will bring. @rhinojulie 🦏
