AIPD is currently offering to license local academic Institutions, that may be interested in training Investigators, Security Officers and Crime Scene Technicians, or simply persons of interest, a 600 Hour training course. This course was first approved for Federal Student Aid in 1990. Clark County has a literal Army of investigative and security positions that constantly need filling, more so, because of the casino industry, than in any other state. Recent shootings have opened the door for an even greater need for public safety, which equates to more security positions to fill and the need for better training. We are here to partner with you in order to help our community meet that need, while at the same time enhance your financial and academic standing through another quality course offering by your Institution.

Q: Who would benefit or be interested in taking this course?

A: Security Officers, persons planning on entering a Police Academy and would like insight of the training so their enhanced skills optimizes their chances of graduation from a Police Academy. Private Investigator’s, Insurance Investigators, Attorney Investigators, Persons interested in Crime Scene Investigation Techniques (CSI), Homeland Security Agencies, Hotel/Casino Security Forces, future military enlistees wanting to receive an additional rank following graduation from boot camp, i.e. Military Police and returning members of our military services seeking career objectives through use of their G.I. Bill benefits.

Q: Has this Training Course been Accredited?

A: Yes, the course has been approved for use by licensed institutions in the State of Nevada and State of Illinois by the Commissions on Post Secondary-Education. It was approved for award of nine college semester credits in Criminal Justice, from the College of Southern Nevada, formally Clark County Community College. It has been recognized by the National Association of Trade and Technical Schools (NATTS), and two of the course modules have been approved by the State of Nevada Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training. The Henderson, NV Police Department has attended the Accelerated Crime Scene Technology training and the Mineral County Sheriffs Department has utilized the Traffic Accident Investigation portion of this training program. The State of Nevada National Guard Reserve Military Police Corps also have recognized and used this program of instruction. Module 5 was once the program of instruction for SIRCHIE Fingerprint Laboratories “Crime Scene Investigation” and was required for members of the Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office. -
