Understanding the Odell Beckham Financials after his release from the Browns:
Probably a 50/50 chance one of the 15 teams that have the $8 million to pay him for his remaining contract this year claim him off waivers.
If he clears waivers and becomes a free agent, look at these two teams:
1. Packers: no teams is as dependent on the health of one player, Davonte Adams, as the Packers are. They have a very weak wide receiver group behind Adams. Odell would get to join a contender and Packers would demonstrate to Aaron Rodgers that they are able to give him a supporting cast.
2. Saints: Saints are 5-2 with no Drew Brees, no Jameis Winston, and no true #1 receiver. Coach Sean Peyton is a genius. Look for them to make a big play for Odell Beckham Jr.

Can we stop acting like Aaron Rodgers getting traded is even a possibility? If Aaron Rodgers gets traded, it would be a $21 million dollar dead cap that the Packers would carry for this year TO TRADE THE MVP OF THE LEAGUE.
This isn't Carson Wentz who had a terrible year in 2020. Packers and Rodgers probably headed for a breakup in 2022 and yet, not this year OR this is all a ploy to get a new contract and for Rodgers to get assurance that Jordan Love isn't starting for the Packers for years.

Agholor had an amazing year with the Raiders and yet, not enough to justify this deal with only one productive year in 5 years.

Injury prone wide receiver Tyrell Williams has been put on season ending injured reserve.
The Raiders cannot properly evaluate Derek Carr as the quarter back of the future with rookie Henry Ruggs III as the #1 receiver. Look for the Raiders to be active on the trade market

Super interesting release considering he has about $25 million left in guarantees that the Ravens will be responsible for. Most are saying he will go to the Cowboys. Cowboys also restructured the contract of Tyron Smith yesterday which may be to free up cap space for an Earl Thomas signing.
My gut tells me he doesn't end up in Dallas. They just don't have the cap space Don't be surprised if he ends up in New England who like veterans that are in trouble when they can get them at a discount.

This was inevitable. The Baltimore Ravens announced on
July 8th that they would have no more than 14,000 fans in their 71,000 capacity stadium due to Covid-19.
Vegas has not yet fully embraced the Raiders as its home town team. So if you were going to take the same approach as the Ravens and reduce the seating to about 25% of capacity, how do you tell new Raiders fans in Las Vegas that they can't go see Tom Brady play with the Bucs or see Drew Brees with the Saints in potentially his last season?
This was the right move so that some Raiders season ticket holders didn't get to see the more desirable games while other Raiders season ticket holders did not. Better to just shut it down and not alienate an already delicate fan base.
Raiders to play 2020 season with no fans
In an email to season ticket holders on Monday, Raiders owner Mark Davis announced the decision.
