Very often even to this day I receive this reaction from people:
Woman: What do you do?
Me: I make women feel beautiful & confident. I am an owner of European Lingerie Boutique.
Woman: Oh... I don’t wear lingerie. (Shrugs and starts feeling uncomfortable and defensive)
Me: Oh.. So you don’t wear bras or underwear..? (Acting genuinely surprised and smiling)
Woman: Ummm.. I do wear bras. (Starts stuttering and acts confused)
Me: Oh.. Don’t worry, some people don’t realize that the word “Lingerie” just means “underwear, undergarments” in French. It doesn’t have to be “just for bedroom”. There is daily wear lingerie and special occasion lingerie. I just don’t like to call my Kapreeza shop “an underwear shop”.
