Visual searching is the ability to scan the environment for relevant information, such as objects, signs, or people. It is a skill that can be improved with practice and training. Here are some ways to improve your visual searching ability:
Use visual targeting. This is a technique that involves focusing on a fixed point ahead of you, such as a road sign, a building, or a tree, and then moving your eyes to a new point as you get closer to the first one.
Be aware of your “no-zone”. This is the area around your vehicle or body where you have limited or no visibility. You should check your mirrors and blind spots frequently, and be alert for other road users or pedestrians who may enter your “no-zone”. You should also drive defensively and keep a safe distance from other vehicles.
Scan the road systematically. You should divide the road into ranges, such as near, middle, and far, and switch your attention between them at regular intervals. You should also look for traffic control devices, road signs, road markings, and other road users, such as pedestrians, cyclists, and animals.
Do visual tracking exercises. These are activities that involve following a moving object with your eyes, such as a ball, a finger, or a pen. They can help to strengthen your eye muscles and improve your eye coordination.
Improve your visual memory. This is the ability to remember and recall visual information, such as images, shapes, or colors. It can help you to recognize and locate objects or people more easily.

When hiring and investigator make sure they have your best interest in mind. Ask them about costs up front, agree to a limit or a do not exceed threshold. This will avoid sticker shock when the bill comes in. Don't be surprised if they ask for a retainer up front, especially if this is the first time you have worked with them.
