Pilates · GYROTONIC®️ · Yoga · Barre · Meditation · Detox · Retreats Alexandra Colombo-Cloud is an Embodied Movement Artist and Founder of French Riviera · Wellness Studio SŪD, guiding bodies into conscious strength, elegance, and presence. Born in Dallas to artistic, world-traveling parents who photographed royalty and cultural icons, she grew up between Paris, New York, Los Angeles, and summers
on the Côte d’Azur—shaped by bilingual roots, cosmopolitan influence, and a lifelong devotion to movement. Sent to Asia as a child and raised within a global creative lineage, Alexandra carries an intuitive understanding of the body as both instrument and vessel. For over 20 years, she has taught Pilates, Yoga, Qi Gong, Barre, Meditation, and Detox-based practices—merging art, spirituality, and science into a refined method rooted in the Studio SŪD lineage. After guiding celebrities, athletes, artists, mothers, and seekers across the world, she returned to Longview, Texas in 2021 to care for her mother and founded French Riviera Wellness · Studio SŪD—a sanctuary where European refinement meets grounded Texan soul. Today, Alexandra leads a collective of movement artists, healers, and instructors, each contributing their own mastery. Among them is a dedicated GYROTONIC® instructor, expanding the studio’s offerings with spiral intelligence and therapeutic movement. Together, the team delivers a multidisciplinary approach through Pilates, Yoga, Barre, Meditation, Detox Rituals, GYROTONIC® instruction, and transformative Retreats. French Riviera Wellness · Studio SŪD stands as a bridge between worlds—body and spirit, art and discipline, tradition and innovation, America and Europe. A place where movement becomes awakening, and community becomes transformation.

Authentic Pilates is more than a name.
It is the faithful practice of a method — rooted in principles, structure, and precision.
Originally called Contrology, the work was designed to develop strength, alignment, coordination, and control through intelligent movement.
When practiced as a system, each exercise has purpose.
Each movement prepares the next.
Each detail matters.
—
At Studio SŪD, we honor the method as a living practice — not simply exercises, but a refined system of movement education.

Classical Pilates is a structured method.
Each movement is placed within a system,
and developed over time through practice.

Movement is not only something we do.
It is how the body organizes,
adapts, and responds over time.
With practice,
movement becomes more precise,
more efficient,
more supported.
—
The purpose is simple:
to move — and to move well.

THE VAGUS NERVE
The system that quietly asks:
“Am I safe?”
It runs from the brain
through the heart, lungs, and into the gut —
influencing how you breathe, move, hold tension, and recover.
—
When the body feels unsafe:
breath shortens
muscles grip
movement becomes effort
When the body feels safe:
breath deepens
tension softens
movement becomes fluid
—
At Studio SŪD, we don’t force this.
We create the conditions for it.
Through:
• precise Pilates
• rhythmic GYROTONIC®
• intentional yoga & breath
• guided touch + assisted stretch
The body begins to reorganize.
—
Not by pushing harder.
By moving smarter.
—
Because regulation isn’t something you “do.”
It’s something your body returns to
when it feels supported.
—
A different way to practice.

“Mobilize” is often misunderstood.
It is not about increasing movement
without direction.
It is about creating space —
and knowing how to control it.

Pre-Natal is not simply about staying active—
it is about supporting the body through change with precision.
Breath.
Pelvic floor awareness.
Spinal alignment.
A practice designed to maintain strength, create space,
and prepare the body for what is to come.
Classes are guided with care,
in a small group setting.
Reserve your place.

Movement has long been associated with intensity.
But intensity without awareness
leads to repetition — not refinement.
At Studio SŪD,
we return to a more intelligent approach.

There is a difference between effort and effectiveness.
You can push harder, stretch further, repeat more —
and still feel stuck.
Or you can refine one detail —
alignment, breath, timing —
and everything begins to change.
This is the work.
Not more intensity.
More intelligence.
04/11/2026
The work is built on principles.
Not trends.
Not intensity.
Over time, they shape the way the body moves —
and the way it understands movement.

Control is often misunderstood.
It is not rigidity.
It is not restriction.
It is the ability to move with awareness,
and to choose how the body responds.
