Scrap Baseball 10U-League City

Unfortunately, Scrap baseball ended the tournament with a rain out. We are sad to end it this way and wish the weather would have cooperated more this week. Either way, we had a great time with the team and have a lot of great memories to bring home. This isn’t the last of Scrap baseball and we are excited for what’s to come! Safe travels home to all the teams today! ⚾️

Last day of the World Series tournament for the Scrap boys. We played a really solid team yesterday and didn’t get the ending we hoped for but today we are hoping to battle it back through the bracket and get some wins! We are also hoping the rain stays away today!! ⚾️

Scrap boys did great overall in pool play and landed themselves in the Gold Bracket with a 12pm start time today! Let’s gooooo!!! ⚾️

Scrap boys went 1-1 to start off pool play yesterday. We are hoping to dial it in today for the next 2 pool games and bring home some more wins! Let’s gooooo!!! ⚾️🤩

The Scrap fam enjoyed opening ceremonies today with pin trading and then some fun green space family time with pizza and games! We are so excited to kick the tournament off tomorrow!! Let’s goooooo!!!

Scrap boys are headed to Gulf Shores, Alabama this week for the World Series and our final tournament of the season! This is our pool play schedule for Wednesday and Thursday, then bracket play on Friday and Saturday. We are hoping everyone has safe travels and are excited for the pin trading at opening ceremonies tomorrow. Let’s take some wins home boys!! ⚾️

Scrap boys cashed in on Coach J’s ice cream promise after Dylan Valenzuela threw a no hitter in our last tournament. Of note, Kyle Schmidt helped save the no hitter by making a diving catch in the outfield. Overall a great team effort to earn this treat!! Way to go boys!! 🍦⚾️

Our boys also came out strong with their pitching this weekend and our strikeout chain earners for today was #2 Dylan Valenzuela who threw Scrap’s first no hitter and earned the team ice cream on Coach J! 🍦Then in game 2 we had #9 Kyle Schmidt who always pitches lights out, and #1 Kage Wright brought the heat for our championship game to bring home the win!!! Great job today boys!! ⚾️🔥

We hit some major dingers this weekend and for today’s highlights we had #5 Weston Lynch hit yet another home run (we are losing count), #8 Noah Lesser hit his first ever home run followed by his second home run in game 2, and #13 Blake Figueroa hit Scrap’s first GRAND SLAM! Great job boys!!! 🔥⚾️

So many good things happened this weekend for Scrap Baseball! We came out to take names and be officially the USSSA Best of The South CHAMPIONS!!!!! Way to go boys!!! Yall played so good!! 🎉🔥⚾️🤩
