This past weekend was busy for the GY6 team! Coach Benjamin Samuel was the Captain of T1 at Eagleman in Cambridge, MD!
And Amanda Samuel ran with their daughter at the MudGirl 5k obstacle course in Chantilly, VA.

So much love and respect for this duo. And they are now peacefully together. ♥️

We are saddened to hear one of our legends and friends, Rick Hoyt, has passed away. It is a loss for the entire triathlon and running community, but we are comforted by knowing Team Hoyt is together once again. Rick along with his father Dick, changed the world’s notion of what is possible. Dick famously said, “Our message is yes you can. You can do anything you want to do as long as you make up your mind you can do it.”

Despite the incredible challenges that came with having cerebral palsy, Rick made up his mind about what was possible and how he could live a more fulfilled life, and in doing so, opened the doors for so many to follow. We are all better for having Rick a part of our lives. The inspiration and legacy he and Team Hoyt leave will continue to build forevermore by those who also chose that they can despite what they face in life. Our condolences and appreciation are with the Hoyt family and friends. We are forever grateful for their sharing Rick and Dick with us.

Day 28 of your Mindful March challenge!
Swim, Bike, Run. That’s the order of a triathlon. Which one is your strongest activity? Which one is the hardest for you? Now, sign up for one!!!! There are so many triathlons in the area and you will be in a small club of amazing athletes that perform 3 events in one day! Need a coach? Coach Ben is perfect for you!


Day 27 of your Mindful March Challenge!
Do you have a case of the Mondays? Ugh… we get it. But Monday can be the beginning of a reset and refocus. Take a look back on this past March. Did you accomplish your goals? Did you fall a bit and want to restart. Good news. You can. You’re worth it!

Wait…. Weights? Yes!!! Weights! Weight training will help improve your performance in your next race and it will give you the results you want! Cardio is great but those weights are important! So head to your local gym and pump some iron. Don’t know what to do? Personal trainers are there for you to help you properly!

⭐️ RUN LIKE THE WIND!!! What’s your longest run? Can you beat your time? Extend it an extra mile? Or have you never laced up your tennis shoes for a run? Todays the day. Day 17 of your Mindful March Challenge! You’ve done a great job so far and you deserve a little something to go with your new fitness equipment you bought yesterday. So how about you
⭐️treat yourself to some new fitness apparel. It seems when you have new clothes, you are more motivated to work out. Test that theory with a new Tri kit, new shoes, or a new fitness shirt. If you need any help with some recommendations, we can help!
