Knight's tryouts have been announced!!
Get ready for the 2020-21 Season! PVAHA announced that the Tier-II tryout process will begin on July 13. This year’s format will be significantly different than in the past. PVAHA announced that, beginning on the 13th, organizations planning to skate Youth 10U–18U teams for the 2020–2021 season may either conduct on-ice tryouts or offer player agreements/contracts without tryouts to players who were rostered within that organization during the 2019–2020 season.

The Loudoun Knights organization believes in the value of on-ice evaluations, and will run tryouts for the coming season within the parameters outlined by PVAHA. Tryouts for returning Knights players begin on Monday July 13th . Returning players from 10U – 18U will participate in
2 evaluation sessions during this first tryout phase. Roster spots will be offered to returning players only at the end of this first week. The full schedule for phase one is below.
On Monday July 20th, the Knights will continue the tryout process for 10U – 18U teams open to all players. Returning players who have already been offered a roster spot, returning players who were not offered a roster spot during phase one but who wish to continue the tryout process, and all other interested players will participate in these evaluations. Loudoun Knights team rosters will be completed at the end of this process. We believe it is important to see our players in action, and watch them work together through the evaluation process, and accordingly will not be offering contracts without tryouts during the selection process for the 2020-21 season.
We look forward to seeing returning players on the 13th , and to getting to know new players interested in the Knights. The Knights are an important part of a full development model inside the Ion International Training Center – a program structured to promote players from their first ice touch through each advancement stage until they are ready to move on to college and beyond. Loudoun Knights teams are open to all players interested in playing the game the right way, working hard to develop, and having fun every day they walk in the rink. If that’s you, come join us!

Elite Skills and Powerskating on ice training starts Monday next week! Thank god we can return to the ice. Please message / email / text for details. Coach Chris and Coach Grady will be running a group Mon/Weds/Fri for Junior/College/Pro players training at 7 to 8am at Ion International Training Center. Repeat circuit 3 times.

Perform each drill 2 to 3 times for about 30 seconds each.
-First 3 drills are warm ups primarily focusing on control while keeping your head up.
-Next set of drills are designed for speed and control.

Quick Hop Circuit
-Each exercise 2 to 3 sets of 30 seconds. On the Hockey Bounds focus on control everything else focus on speed.
Interval Workout
-Set timer for 9 , 12 or 15 minutes
- Perform 10 to 15 reps of each exercise.
Minute 1 (Squats)
Minute 2 (Burpees)
Minute 3 (Mountain Climbers)
Repeat 3-5 times depending on fitness level.
