We have officially scheduled the next group classes at Leesburg Veterinary Hospital. The classes run for 6 weeks with the starting dates as follows:
Puppy Basic starts Monday, June 4 at 7 pm

We are offering 2 different sessions for adult basic training:
Thursday, June 7th at 7pm
Saturday, June 9th at 1:30 pm

Snakehead training

I was finally able to get the first video of the training session. We had amazing progress, especially since this was the first session. It also shows that all of us make mistakes in our training. I tossed the food behind the snakehead's eyeline and he didn't see it, so he bit at the target. But, he went right back to touching the target.

Training your dog. We hope you and your family enjoyed spring break. School is back in session and now is the perfect time for you and your pet to get to class and learn how you can both live a healthy, happy life!

I spent a great day yesterday at the zoo with my daughter. While we were there, I was watching other parents interact with their children. One particularly disturbing event was a father who picked his son up by his side and carried him away to punish him. My training style isn't just about how I interact with animals, but people as well. I wish for a day when we work to build each other up and offer support rather than beating them down. I gave my daughter a big hug.

We are in the process of setting up a new style of training classes! Via skype! This service will only be available for training, not for behavioral consultations, but will prove to be as much fun as attending a group class! The only difference is that your pet can learn new behaviors in the comfort of your home. All you need is a skype account and a we**am to participate. Stay tuned for more details on class schedules and how to register.

Less than 2 weeks until group classes start at Leesburg Vet! There will be an ad in the pet section of both the Leesburg Today and Ashburn Today this week (Friday).

Correction to the previous post. The start dates for group classes are as follows:
Basic puppy starts Monday, April 23rd
Basic Adult classes start Thursday, April 26th.

The start times are the same.

Wow! Business is starting to boom and we are in the process of setting up a venue in Leesburg to offer group classes very soon! We will keep everyone posted as this progresses.
