Today I had Claire, Anna, Rosie and Avery(not pictured) from the Dallas Comedy Club out for Anna’s birthday. They wanted to have a fish fry so we started out looking for sandbass and hybrids. The fish were moving around a lot and they caught a few on each stop. That bite shut off so we switched over to crappie towards the end of the trip and they put a few of those ont he boat as well.
These girls could really fish and were a blast to fish with!

Pics from this last week of trips
Crappie are hit and miss on brush piles in 15-25 feet on minnows. Should be getting better as the lake level stabilzes
Sandbass and hybrids have been excellent in 25-35 feet on humps and points. All sandbass and hybrids caught on 3/4oz slabs in white or chartreuse.

Saturday 10/26 I had Bill and Paul out for a combo trip. Started out crappie fishing for a couple of hours then switched over to sandbass. Ended with 15 crappie, 28 sandbass and one keeper hybrid. Crappie were all caught on minnows in 14-20 feet and the sandbass all came off slabs in 25-28 feet.
This cooler weather has them biting good! Call today to book a trip. 11/2 and 11/3 are both open for morning or afternoon trips.

Day 2 was a little slower but Diana did manage this nice 15 1/4” slab. They ended up with a nice haul for the plane ride back to California!

I have this Saturday and Sunday 11/2 and 11/3 open for those non deer hunters looking for some crappie!

Thursday 10/24 repeat customers Willie and Diana came out from California for 2 half day crappie trips. Bite started out good and then tapered off a bit later in the morning.
All fish caught on minnows in 12-20 feet on brush piles and stumps.

10/12/24 Chris, Bill, Trevor and Garrett came out for a sandbass/crappie trip. Sandbass were all caught on slabs in 22-27 feet and crappie caught on minnows with few bonus catfish.
They had to leave right as soon as we got back to the dock no pics. Took the filets to them when I was done cleaning.

Trip number 2 on 10/14. My brother was in town and went out for just a couple hours to get some meat for his freezer.

Trip number 1 on 10/14 was Catherine, Arthur and Emily. They kept me busy taking fish off all day and guessing the length and measuring each one.
Did pretty good for their first time on a boat!
