A little before and after photo dump of this weekends’ project.
We started with some fans/housings and intake runners from a ‘79SC and ‘69E respectively. Stripped them using a fine aluminum oxide blasting media and coated them immediately. We used C-105 Titanium for the fans/housings and C-209 Sig Dark Grey for the runners.
While i feel these two colors give a fair nod to their original look, the Titanium came out a bit more bronze than intended… at least these are personal cars.

Now off to Renaissance in So. Cal to rivet these freshly plated fan centers back in.

This Porsche 915 needed some love…

So commissioned; we have stripped the case bare, v***r honed using ***rhoningtechnologies blasting cabinet. We then prepped, using C209 Series Sig Dark Grey applied a thin layer to protect against future corrosion. The color was chosen to mimic the darker look of the magnesium.
Not to be outdone .net_ side cover was chosen to add strength and clearly brighten things up a bit.
Other bits will be added from to complete the package like their billet shift fork plate (not pictured).

Next we will be reassembly of the gearset and final assembly of the case itself with all-new plated hardware.
