Youth practices started last week with alot of new faces! Several high school wrestlers stayed after to give the young guys some technique and instruction. Building for the future!

Jake Darby state qualifier with having less than 10 matches in the regular season. Jake took the 4th ranked heavyweight to a 4-2 decision. Having an offer from Murray State football most kids would have just took the winter off. Jake spent the first half the season rehabbing a neck injury. Jake came back late January and started working hard to get into wrestling shape. He then had big shoes to fill when a fluke injury to Jamison Dunn who was having an outstanding season occurred. Jake did everything we asked of him, just wish we could have had more time with him. is getting a good one. Jake you made our school and team proud! We are going to miss you big guy.

Two time state placer! MAC finished the season with a sixth place finished at the state tournament, in a very deep weight class. Mac made the semi-finals with wins over two of the top six wrestlers in the state. In the semis he had the #2 ranked wrestler, Mac was winning deep in the second period, but a late scramble ended his chance of being in the finals. Mac has been a great team leader this year working with teammates and getting extra workouts in after practices. Mac will be on a mission next season to bring a state title home to LCA!
