[05/05/20]   Summer Update: I think everyone is well aware of the closing of all school facilities until July 1st by ODH. This obviously affects our summer. No team camp, no open gym, no individual workouts, no shootouts. The coaching staff has put together a summer workout program and it has been emailed to current 8th-11th graders. A text message was sent out to current 7th grade parents about this and it has also been emailed to those who wanted it. This summer program consist of shooting, dribbling, resistance training, endurance and speed. It also includes YouTube links for some exercises. Our gym may be closed, but our opportunity to get better is still open. If you have any questions or would like some ideas for your daughter let us know. Go Tigers!

This is not just happening in the Blackford family driveway in Solon, Ohio. Morgan, her sisters and kids around the world suddenly have free time and free technology. They’re using both to improve at basketball.

In the three weeks since March 20, the shot-tracking app HomeCourt recorded 5 times more shots and 25 times more dribbles than in the prior month, according to the company’s data. At this time last year, the app had logged a total of 10 million dribbles. Now it’s seeing more than 12 million dribbles per day.

“We’re really trying to take advantage,” Morgan said, “to make ourselves better."
