Took V home with me this weekend.
Wasn't sure if I was able to go see UD race or not, but Lori (Gigi) did her thing with V like she used to with Kearah and myself, and that allowed me the chance to watch/help him win last night.
Proud of him, Mark and Rodney for continuing to go to battle almost every week and doing what they love so much!

My, what an overwhelming sense of humility as I see the many posts already going up on Facebook about our dad's (grandpa's) passing. While I've seen only a handful, what is up for the world to see is truly an honor and... the entire Droud Family thanks you for that.
For those interested, here is what the next few days will look like as we celebrate the (full) life of Don Droud, Sr.:
-Visitation: Thursday, September 1, from 12:00-8:00 p.m. (family will be greeting visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m.) at Wyuka Funeral Home, 3600 "O" Street, Lincoln, NE.
-Funeral: Friday, September 2, at Wyuka Funeral Home, 3600 "O" Street, 10:00 a.m. (Private burial -for family only- will follow)
-Celebration of Life: Friday, September 2, at Speedway Motors Museum, 531 Westgate Blvd Ste 500, Lincoln, NE from 1:00-3:00 p.m. (light refreshments will be served).
Thank you for the outpouring of support! We hope to see many of you later this week.

Knoxville Raceway gave us all the good vibes Saturday night.
Timed in 3rd. Started 6th and finished 3rd in our heat. Started 5th in the A and was running top 5 most of the race, got shuffled back a few spots and ended up 18th with a mechanical issue.
Don Droud Jr. Racing and Mark Burch continue to rise to the occasion every time they hit the track. Until the next time the Team Jack sees the track with or without the wing on, we will leave you with this 📷 from Chuck Stowe Images 🔥

Don Jr and Mark Burch are at Knoxville with the wing on! They'll be running in the 410 division tonight!

Kind of a late update on the 35th Chili Bowl, but did want everyone 2 see the shot taken of the Team Jack/ Engler Machine and Tool/ RB Harman on Championship Night.
As posted earlier, Jr. rolled the Mark Burch Motorsports "midge" from p12 in the second D and ended up with a roller coaster of a race. At the green, he maintained his position for several laps, only 2 drop back. Using some timely cautions, the 22T began making its way forward, racing for the 8th spot, when the ride took another untimely turn; with one lap remaining Jr. bicycled in Turn 1, almost killing the motor, and wound up 15th.
While somewhat disappointed in the finish, both Mark and Jr. saw an enormous amount of good from the prestigious event, racing EVERY lap, figuring out what was needed 2 get better and loading the car without a bent of broken piece. The Team says "Win or Learn" all the time and that's exactly what it got!
Now, as Mark said the other night, "Onto Phase 2!" Praise Jesus we get 2 keep doing what we love 2 do!
