I've decided to let my run streak end at 130 days. I'm letting it end on my terms. It got to through the marathon and accomplished what I needed it for. These next few weeks are going to be busy and I just don't need the added stress of the streak on top of it. Thanks everyone who has encouraged me along the way.

Ran my 3rd full marathon this morning and got a PR by 20 mins. I enjoyed the first half of the race and was running easy and faster than expected. Ended up having some leg and foot issues after mile 17 and had to slow down and do whatever I could to finish. I'm thankful for my family for dealing with the crazy morning and putting up with logging all these miles headed into the race. I couldn't do this without Kirsten supporting my crazy running adventures and then listening to me whine when I'm hurting.
Thank you so much for the amazing support and with your help we raised over $2,000 for Project Purple to help fight pancreatic cancer which is what really matters. It was great seeing so many smiling happy faces cheering us on along the course. Run streak day 122 is complete, 123 may not happen, we'll see. Thanks again, I'm sore, hurting, but feeling blessed and thankful.

Wrapped up March with my first ever 150 mile month! I'm over 410 miles on the year already and with race day a month away I'll be close to my 2021 mileage by the time the marathon hits if things keep going well. Just a few more hard weeks of work and the Lincoln Marathon will be here before we know it. The best part is with your help I've raised over $1,000 for to fight pancreatic cancer and there's still time to push this even further. I would love to hit a new record this year for my fundraising. If interested donate $5-10 to the link in my bio or venmo me and I'll get it entered. Thanks for the support!

Nice long run this morning.

7 miles and the run streak continues. Crossed the 200 mile mark on the year already.

2 miles for Gus's 2nd birthday! We had to go search for most of the fire hydrants in the neighborhood as a way to celebrate. ๐ฅ๐๐.

136 miles and 2 stitches in my chin wrap up my month of running to kick off 2022. Those are both records for a month and hopefully I don't break the stitches record ever, lol. This should give me a good base to build off of for the Lincoln Marathon training. If you would like to help me celebrate my month, I'm closing in on raising $500 for already, the donation link: https://donate.projectpurple.org/fundraiser/3641843 . If you are running the Lincoln Marathon or Half Marathon, I hope you will sign up and join me. It's easy to raise the minimum donation, I did it in less than a month and I can help you find ways to fund raise also. Message me to join, I have a surprise for the first person to join me on the team.

The girls and Gus traveled the lake with me for my miles today. Nice easy recovery day and only 1 more day to go for the Launch Your Toughness challenge of at least 1 mile outside every day in January.
01/21/2022
Run streak continues on. 21 days in a row now.
01/15/2022
Halfway through the month and I've made it at least 1 mile a day outside for the LRC Launch Your Toughness challenge. I've logged over 54 miles which is nice to be getting back into a good rhythm after a rough running year last year.

Fundraising for Project Purple
Would you pledge to donate $10 if I hit over 100 miles running this month to my Project Purple fundraiser? The last time I had a 100 mile month was Nov 2019. https://donate.projectpurple.org/fundraiser/3641843
Fundraising for Project Purple
. ย I'm ready to get back to running the Lincoln Marathon for Project Purple. I had to miss last year due to injury and ran the 2020 Marathon virtually so I can't wait to get join the team and run the city again to help beat pancreatic cancer

Helpful tips. There's nothing wrong with opting for the treadmill and if you opt to run in the cold use your best judgment to stay safe.

Rather than worrying about the results you want, focus on becoming the type of person who could achieve those results. So instead of worrying about losing 25 pounds, focus on being the kind of person who doesnโt miss workouts.

If you made a new year resolution, do you have a real solution to help you reach that goal?

5 miles on this beautiful morning.

Easy 3.25 miles tonight. I took 2 weeks off after running the virtual Halsfsy. It wasn't a planned break but I just didn't feel like running so I didn't. Time to get back in the groove and try to build a good base mileage this winter so I'm ready for spring. Also wear a light if out in the dark please.
10/17/2021
I'm not as prepared for next week's Halfsy as much as I'd like to be but I did at least get in a solid 8 miles on this perfect fall morning.

Gus and I just took an easy 1 mile walk as legs were still shot from Market to Market.
