Getting a number of calls and emails re: a 2015 golf show. As of now, we will not have one this year. If we can attract a minimum of 50 exhibitors by this July, the next Lincoln Golf Expo will be held in early March, 2016.

Our Goal Is Simple, Basic. The Lincoln Golf Expo is designed to grow the game of golf in the Lincoln/Lancaster County area.
Specifically, to use the expo to generally… build tee times… attract the “best of” potential new golfers… build greater excitement for the game among avid golfers by opening a new world of technology, equipment, travel options… promote Lincoln/Lancaster County as a world-class golf destination. SHOW HOURS:
Friday - 12 PM to 9 PM
Veteran's Day - All Vets Receive Free Admission on Friday
Saturday -
Operating as usual
We are in the process of building a comprehensive analysis profiling the present and future state of golf in the heartland. I would appreciate any data, reports, studies, research or other current information you could share. Also, would
appreciate any tips on new sources for such information. The final report will be used to recruit golf and golf related concerns in a conjoined effort to promote the sport and attract participation.
The purpose of the analysis is to build a case for and strategic plan for growing the game of golf in Nebraska and surrounding markets. Of course, this would include another "expo" event in the Spring of 2016, but also a plan for a year-long promotional/PR strategic effort.
This statistical analysis is essential to identifying the critical factors of exactly how such efforts may benefit those in the golfing sector. (retailers, courses, training facilities, clubs, etc) Performing the analysis of variance is to ensure the proper selection of significant communications factors. With this, understanding and judgment become more effective in those prospects making appropriate decisions regarding their own corporate/association long-term business and marketing goals.
Bottom line, because a number of local companies, courses, etc, have continued express interest, I am not prepared to give up on the idea of producing an exciting and valuable event for Nebraska golfers. However, this is only possible if and when the entire golfing community supports the concept (both in theory and financially) This report should serve to provide them with the information they need to understand the situation and expectations for attractive return on investment. This said, factual data and quantified analysis is critical.
Additionally, we now understand an expo event alone will not achieve the stated goal. A comprehensive marketing communications effort is needed, year-long. The report will provide the data base for such media efforts.
In advance, thank you for any efforts.

The Nebraska Golf Course Superintendents Association, the Nebraska Club Managers Association, the Midwest Golf Course Owners Association, the Nebraska Section PGA, the Nebraska Golf Association, the Golf Course Builders Association and the Nebraska Women’s Amateur Golf Association as a coalition joined to celebrate the third annual Nebraska Golf Day. The purpose of this event is to educate state leaders, the media, and other key stakeholders on the economic, human, and environmental benefits of golf. Nebraska Golf Day also demonstrates how the allied golf associations join as a coalition to speak with one voice about issues important to the game of golf. Several members of these allied associations were on hand to listen to presantations by Liz Leckemby, 2013 U.S. Senior Open Championship, Bill Langley, CMA, Justin Apel, GCBAA, J. Rhett Evans, GCSAA, Joe Steranka, PGA and Governor Dave Heineman.
Do you believe Nebraska should have an exciting, annual golf expo? So do we. To demonstrate to potential exhibitors that Nebraska golfers would support such an event, we need hundreds of comments and "likes" on the page. Our goal is to have an event in early Spring of 2013 in Lincoln or Omaha.

We are now looking to revise the Golf Expo. The state of golf in America is in serious need of recruiting the next generation of golfers and we have accepted that challenge for Nebraska and surrounding states. A questionnaire is being prepared and will be sent to those on our list within the golfing community. Please take the time to complete and return this important fact-gathering project. We are also looking for partners with the ability to communicate with potential exhibitors (the key to a successful event)

We recently completed an in-depth analysis of the 2011 Golf Expo and have a list of ten items critical for moving forward. If you would like to review our analysis and make suggestions, comments, etc. please send a note to [email protected]. This includes golfers and exhibitors, alike.
