Want to throw harder and take some stress off your arm?

Learn how to relax instead of muscling up.

Grab a 1 or 2 pound plyo and play around with spinning arm circles while staying as relaxed as possible in your arm and shoulder.

Use your hips, use your spine, and let the arm float.

And it’ll help you loosen up your shoulders prior to throwing.

Meet one of the most dedicated Softball teams we have at Driven Academy!

We got some of the girls back together again today for an off season practice! So nice to see them all back in black & red again! 🥎🧨

A lot of times, the reason you’re losing velo is because of your inability to control your center of mass.

Which is why we look at posture and pelvis orientation in our assessment.

If your hips are in anterior tilt, your center of mass can be shifted forward. This causes guys to leak forward during their lift, which impacts direction and ultimately velo and command.

If you weigh 140 pounds soaking wet, you probably don’t need to throw a bunch of weighted balls this offseason.

You just need some consistency in the weight room and at the dinner table.

Oh and picking up a barbell and following it up with a protein shake one time won’t get the job done.

Be consistent. Stack days, weeks, and months.

Aim for a pound a week if you’re underweight, and enjoy what 15-20 pounds of lean muscle can do for you next spring.

Once you weigh around 2.5x your height in inches (good weight, don’t be sloppy), then the rules change.
