Greg Lawson leads our Saturday Competition class. There are a number of people who are preparing for the Nebraska Jiu-Jitsu Championship tournament, just one week away. However, there are many who simply attend for the focus and intensity the class brings to their training.

Winter is coming. Due to forecasted inclement weather, Lincoln BJJ is canceling the kids and evening adult classes on Wed, Jan 18.

Youth BJJ Little Spiders (4-7 Years Old) No Gi 4:40-5:20 PM: CANCELED

Youth BJJ Fundamentals (8-15 Years Old) Gi 5:30-6:20 PM: CANCELED

Adult BJJ Advanced Gi 6:30-8:00 PM: CANCELED

Adult BJJ Fundamentals Gi 8:00-9:00 PM: CANCELED

The Cardio Kickboxing class at 10:30 AM and the Adult BJJ class at 12:00 PM will remain in session today.

Here’s something pretty special. After teaching the technique, Conan picks the kids for the different coaches. On Monday, this group of Little Spiders had a different plan. They all picked Jennifer to be their coach before the technique was even taught. Guess we know who the favorite coach is! 😊❤️

Lincoln BJJ is a member of the We Defy Foundation (WDF) network of gyms across the country that supports combat veterans with military connected disabilities through scholarships. Over the holidays, Adam Karp, WDF Ambassador Mentor, was visiting from Massachusetts. It was a great opportunity for Adam to actually meet and train with some of our members in the program that he has connected with through We Defy.

Thank you, Adam, for what you do! It was a pleasure meeting and training with you. Looking forward to training with you the next time you’re in Lincoln.

We’ll be open New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day, with all regularly scheduled classes.

Jori has definitely been putting in the training hours for this fight. We are excited to see her walk away with the belt!

Its been years since an amateur women's mma champion has been crowned in Dynasty Combat Sports. On September 9th we will crown a new 135 lbs champion as Kearney Combat Sports & Fitness fighter Vanessa Chavez meets Lincoln Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Center 's Jori Waln.

Gonna be a packed undercard for Kearney Cage Wars 2023.

On Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, Lincoln BJJ will be canceling all regularly scheduled classes. We will have an Open Mat Fundraiser from 12-2 PM to support We Defy Foundation and Carry the Load.

Lincoln BJJ is proud of the partnership we have with We Defy Foundation, and that we have members who are combat veterans with military connected disabilities who benefit from We Defy Foundation athletic scholarships.

As of October 1, 2022, We Defy Foundation has sponsored over 579 disabled veterans. The foundation is providing over 40 veteran scholarships per month, and it costs approximately $2,500 per veteran. The fundraising efforts during Veteran’s Day are critical to WDF’s ability to continue to maintain their current pace.

As part of a network of participants, Lincoln BJJ is also partnering with Carry the Load to raise funds to honor and celebrate our nation’s heroes. Your support will not only help members like ours with scholarships, but also with services such as counseling, su***de prevention, service dogs, care for burn victims, and many other healing services.
