For those of us who truly love golf (and are crazy as a loon), you shall understand.
Current Events Golf Quiz:
1) Who said "I didn't know the hold could be played that way."
2) About whom?
3) Regarding what hole?
I bet he is reminiscing about the Pro-Am in Chandler. I know I miss it.
Wishing all the fans, teachers and students of Bird Golf a happy Thanksgiving with plenty of turkey. The only day I won't wish you eagles and birdies...just turkey.
What is the over/under line on the number of patrons that Barkley would have hit if fans were allowed this Friday? I'm guessing at least 3 shanks off the tee would have hit people along the first 20 yards.
Just finished 3 days of golf instruction with Amy Benz in Hilton Head and it really was a game changer! Amy’s style of teaching enabled me to really improve my confidence and game. I left with specific drills and videos of my swing with instructional commentary that I can refer back to. One on one instruction is incredibly impactful. Anyone looking to improve their game should definitely call The Bird Academy.
Now this is the person you want in your foursome.
Hoping this might reach Mary Mills through the Academy page. The attached photo is of Mary Mills soon after winning the 1969 LPGA "Quality Chek'd Classic" in Waco, Texas. I had the honor and pleasure of carrying her bag during the tourny. Also was along side some of the legends of the LPGA. It still is and will remain a fond memory.
Jay...just wanted to reiterate my thoughts from our phone call last week. This experience was awesome!
Jim's ability to:
... break down the elements of the swing...in language I understand
... identify areas where modifications are needed in each
element...and explain why/how those modifications will effect positive change in my swing
... structure a practice session that enabled me to identify "did it" or "didn't do it" in each element
... and then give me the tools to make those movements a habit when I return home
....all while keeping me laughing...
Truly what i was looking for without knowing what i was looking for.
You have a jewel of a program and I thank you for all the effort you place on making it authentic, educational, practical, and fun.
Looking forward to doing it again.... and again... and again!
Stick in CT, wishing I was at the PGA Show in Orlando.
Oliver Fisher shot the first ever sub 60 score on the European Tour today. He had a 59 on par 71 Portugal Masters.
Tee times are out for the inaugural U.S. Senior Women’s Open at Chicago Golf Club, Wheaton, Ill. and, well, the USGA nailed it. JoAnne Gunderson Carner, 79, will hit the opening shot on July 12 at 7 a.m. local time, and Nancy Lopez will serve as first-tee starter. Rounding out a dynamite lead group: Hollis Stacy and Sandra Palmer. (Lopez’s recent knee surgeries kept her out the competition.)
