Girls enjoyed their Monday off but we are back to work tonight at 6pm for a double header to open our league season.

We brought home the Gold Bracket Championship this weekend at PSR! Winning is awesome and I hope we keep doing it but my favorite part is the lessons learned along the way.

Spring was all about learning in the fire. We took our lickings and we also tasted some early success. This weekend our girls showed up, stacked moments, and proved again that this team is built different. They moved and acted differently. The swagger in all 11 girls was really special to see.

Here’s a few highlights:
• SEVEN HOMERS — Emmy launched two bombs, Karsyn smashed two fence bangers IN THE SAME GAME, AC got her first in 8U ball, and P and Maleiyah kept their habit of clearing bases
• 94 total hits across five games with an average of 13 runs scored - Emmy, P, Vaeh and Rissa led us in RBIs batting in a combined 32 runs
• Only 4 runs allowed per game behind sharp defense
• 11 outfield catches that shut down rallies
• Five double plays including the weekend highlight from P firing one home from center after a big snag
• 34 Big DAWG Plays showing how locked in this group was
• Run ruled four of five games on the way to a 5 and 0 clean sweep

Bracket play brought real competition. These teams applied pressure at the plate every inning. Our girls met every moment and kept learning they can do hard things. That is the part that matters most.

Charli O’Donnell shined all weekend on both sides of the ball and earned our tournament MVP game ball. She set the pace and the team followed.

P was a force at the plate and in the field all weekend as well. Particularly in the championship where she had multiple catches in center and absolute NUKE when we needed to close the game out. She might be quiet but her game is loud!

Extremely proud of this group for taking the next step. The future looks bright for our DAWGS!

HEADING TO THE SHIP!!!

Girls were clinical in semis on both sides with a 12-2 W over a very good Warriors bunch. LETS GO CLUTCH!!!

2-0 in pool play. 1 seed. First-round bye into Sunday. That’s how these girls balled out yesterday racking up 28 runs and giving up only 4!

Today is a new day though and the they will be tested. Now it’s survive and advance, LETS GO!!!

48 hours from showtime so let’s finish up the new baller intros with Vaeh…

La’Vaeh Bennett is that player who makes everyone stop and stare for a second because her hands move faster than anyone else in the state. She’s a standout utility threat with a cannon for an arm!

She brings big personality too. La’Vaeh will crush McDonald’s after school, dance to the Cha Cha Slide like it’s a warmup routine, and talk about Toy Story 5 like she’s part of the cast. If she could be any animal she’d pick a lion which fits because she plays loud, bold, and fearless. Fruit snacks are her go to, science is her favorite subject, and Halloween hits different for her because it’s her birthday.

Her hero pick is also Superwoman and she definitely plays like she’s got super strength, super speed, and super confidence.

Clutch fam, La’Vaeh Bennett has arrived and she’s bringing fire, fast hands, and a whole lot of swagger to this squad!

Keeping the baller intros going, this girl you blink and might miss her 👀

Larissa Garrett is pure speed in cleats. Another Clutch utility weapon who can fly around the field like she’s got rockets in her socks. You need a ball tracked down, a gap closed, or a play made out of thin air, Larissa is already halfway there before anyone else reacts.

She’s got that fun mix of quiet confidence and sneaky humor. Larissa will crush a grilled cheese and always snacking on goldfish. If she could be any animal she’d be a cat, which fits because she moves smooth, fast, and always lands on her feet. Christmas is her favorite holiday, math is her favorite subject, and if she ever got stuck on an island she’s bringing a boat because she’s not staying there long.

Of course she’s also choosing Superwoman for her superhero swap because she already plays like she’s got super strength and super speed.

Clutch fam, Larissa Garrett is here and she’s bringing energy, wheels, and a whole lot of fun to this squad! Y’all give her a warm welcome!

Opening weekend for Clutch is finally here!!!

Kicking off fall this weekend but before we do, it’s time to introduce our new ballers…

Emmy Martinez is officially on the squad and she fits Clutch like she’s been here since the start. She’s a strong utility baller who can slide anywhere on the field and make it look easy. Coaches love her because she’s insanely coachable and because she jams with Coach Matt and Dylan to Ella Langley every practice. If “Choosin Texas” comes on, Emmy’s locked in.

She’s got the perfect mix of fun and fire. Emmy is the kid who will crush chicken at lunch, snack on chips before warmups, then talk your ear off about Lilo & Stitch like it’s the greatest movie ever made. If she could be any animal she’d be a dog, which tracks because she’s loyal, energetic, and always ready to run. Christmas is her favorite holiday, math is her favorite subject, and if she ever got stuck on an island she’s choosing her family without hesitation.

And if she could be a superhero for a day, she’s going full Superwoman which makes sense because she already plays like she’s got superpowers.
