It's been a busy summer and my students have been putting in the work!

Eliah has been working hard to get her and her horse Velvet ready for their 4H show. It was a long day of showing and this pair really proved that hard work and practice pays off. There were new challenges faced, and goals conquered but overall a very successful day.

I am so proud of this duo and look forward to to sharing their results next week!

A couple years ago, I was told by a mentor of mine that a FAIL is just a First Attempt In Learning. As someone who struggled to come back from failure, this resonated strongly with me and completely changed my outlook as a horsewoman.

You cannot be perfect right off the bat. None of us are. Granted some are more natural than others at things, but that doesn't mean they are a natural without challenges and fails of their own.

Without failing, we aren't capable of learning. Growth and success do not come by staying within our comfort zones, but from traveling outside of it, encouraging ourselves to push those boundaries and take on new challenges.

So what's your new challenge today? What are you pushing boundaries and striving for?

It's always amazing to see the progress and celebrate the successes with my students.

I have had the joy of working with Natasha and Smokey for the last 4 months. From starting back at the basics of groundwork to riding in the saddle, I have gotten to watch such amazing growth and partnership form between Natasha and Smokey as they put in the work during our time together.

Yesterday they entered into their first show together and ended up placing 2nd!! I am so so proud of them and how far they've come together, they definetly have a bright future. Their hard work has definetly been paying off and I am so grateful to be a part of their journey.

Thank you Colleen Wohnoutka for chosing me to work with your daughter and Smokey. It means the world to me to have such amazing families/horses to work with and have your support in return. πŸ’œ

It's been a very busy start to our spring season and I couldn't be more grateful for my awesome students and their horses, as well as the kind parents I get to work with!

I truly love being apart of all my students journeys whether its from the ground or in the saddle!πŸ’›

Hello and Welcome to Stormin' Hooves Equestrian LLC !!

My name is Hailze Setzer and I have been working with and learning alongside horses for about 10+ years, 7 of which I have been instructing/helping fellow horse enthusiasts. I have held a strong love and passion for horses and teaching ever since I could remember, and it only grew once I got more involved in the industry. During my time with horses, I have been able to gather a wide variety of experiences, dabbling both in Western and English, but I am still learning more and more everyday.

As someone who didn't come from a horse background, I understand that it can feel overwhelming getting involved with horses and the equine industry. However, my background allows me to appreciate knowing that you don't have to hail from this lifestyle to be successful in it. It takes honesty, hard work, humility and a deep hunger for it. If you have the hunger, the passion and the drive, it's never too late to start and you can never learn too much!

If you are wanting to improve your abilities as a horse(wo)man, need help building a better partnership with your horse, or are just getting started working with horses, I would love to help you along your journey and provide my services as a riding instructor. Whether you want to take lessons and dont have a horse, or want an instructor to travel and meet you and your equine, I am happy to do either.

Pictured below are the horses that lighted my passion, gave fuel to my dreams, and started me on the path to the horsewoman I am today. We all start somewhere and these 4 have been the foundation of my vision.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or inquiries. We are all on our own journey and I can't wait to see where it goes together.
