Shady Ridge Disc Golf Course Update

Got the mowing done today.

Now we are watching the water and hoping it drops enough before the holiday so we can finish trimming and get everything tightened back up.

The course is getting there, but please use caution in the wet areas around 1 and around any low spots. Northern Maine weather has been keeping us on our toes, but the fairways are cut and we are making progress.

A little more drying, a little more trimming, and we should be looking much better for the holiday stretch.

Thanks to everyone for your patience — we are doing what we can between the rain, the water, and the mud.

Shady Ridge Disc Golf Course Update

Due to the heavy rain and rising water, we are going to close the course until the water comes back down and conditions are safe again.

Some areas are holding water, and we do not want anyone slipping, getting stuck, or damaging the course while the ground is this soft.

We’ll keep an eye on it and post an update as soon as it is safe to reopen.

🥏 COURSE UPDATE – SUMMER 2026 LAYOUT 🥏

The baskets have been updated at Shady Ridge Disc Golf Course and UDisc is updated to reflect the current layout.

Most baskets are now in their short positions to provide a fun, scoreable round while still rewarding good shot placement.

Long Positions Remaining:
🔥 Hole 9
🔥 Hole 12
🔥 Hole 15
🔥 Hole 17
🔥 Hole 18

One notable change:

📍 Hole 5 has returned to its short position for the first time since we installed the basket sleeves on that hole four years ago.

Meanwhile, some of Shady Ridge's signature championship holes remain in the long placements to preserve the challenge and shot-making that players have come to expect.

The result is a layout that offers:
✅ More birdie opportunities
✅ Faster play for casual rounds
✅ Plenty of challenge on the finishing stretch
✅ A great mix for both new and experienced players
