*A letter from our Founders*
Dear TrainOC customers, campers, friends, and family,
We regret to inform you that, due to an ongoing and critical medical emergency, we will be suspending our program operations indefinitely.
On March 20th our founder and chief operator James Short was rushed to the emergency room when he became confused and experienced a loss of vision. MRI scans showed multiple strokes scattered throughout his brain. He has had two more similar neurological events since that time and, to date, the cause is still undetermined. He is currently in the intensive care unit and has a very long road to recovery ahead.
We ask that you please keep James, his wife Jacqui, and their two daughters, Rachel (age 3) and Ashley (age 11 months) in your prayers as they navigate this scary and difficult time.
They very much hope to be able to return to regular business operations in 2023. Please email [email protected] if you would like to be notified when programming resumes.
In the meantime, they hope that you will continue to stay strong and healthy and that you will commit to conquering ANY obstacle that you encounter, as they have done and continue to do.
With gratitude,
The TrainOC Team
PS: James' wife Jacqui has created a Caring Bridge website to keep friends and family updated on his progress. Information regarding James and his recovery can be found here => https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jamesshort

Happy Sunday!
Working on our new website and WOW! What a trip down memory lane going through all of our photos. We've sure come a long way since we started over seven years ago. π±
From our very first fitness Bootcamp to setting up in every kind of weather possible (extreme heat, hail, snow, torrential downpours, MUD) to driving across the country for our first out of state event.
We've had the pleasure of working with so many amazing people and have helped thousands to CONQUER THE COURSE.
We miss all of you and very much hope to see you again very soon. We may be down, but we're not out!
The best is yet to come β€οΈ

++++A note from our founders: ++++
Hello Colorado parents and kids,
It saddens us to announce that we have made the decision to cancel all TRAINOC Summer Camp dates in 2020 in light of the COVID-19 crisis.
After reviewing parent feedback and conducting our own research concerning the CDC recommendations and requirements pertaining to summer day camps, we believe that this is the right decision to ensure the safety of the students, leaders, and summer staff.
We assure you that we did not make this decision lightly. TRAINOC has been hosting summer obstacle course leadership camps for the past 8 years. Our summer camps are foundational to our mission and our company.
There are several things that we believe make our camps special - but the most important aspect is the relationships that our staffers get to build with the students. Our camp has focused on community, teamwork, partner learning opportunities and so much more. We believe that the measures that required for us to hold camp this summer would prevent us from delivering a high quality, life-impacting experience for all campers and staff.
TRAINOC wants to serve our community in any way we possibly can. We understand that all of our students have missed opportunities and experiences that will never be recaptured. That being said we are in the process of creating online learning opportunities to continue to teach the principles upon which our company was founded: leadership, courage, strength, cooperation, problem-solving, and resilience.
If you have pre-enrolled in our camps please allow 7-10 business days to be issued a refund.
Please contact our team at 303-828-7381 or [email protected] with any questions or concerns.
We are thankful for you and kindly ask that you continue to contact local leaders to advocate on behalf of students and local small businesses. We sincerely hope to be able to resume normal operations in the fall and to be able to provide the fitness and education experience that our customers expect and deserve.
Sincerely,
James and Jacqui Short

πWe're BACK IN BUSINESS!! π
GREAT NEWS parents!
The Governor announced today that summer camps can resume operation beginning June 1st!
(See link in comments for the full announcements and guidelines)
With this announcement we are working with the local parks department to secure the necessary permits to operate our camps and, if given the go-ahead, will re-open registration for our in-person camps in June and July.
We are committed to providing a safe and fun experience for all of our campers by following the guidelines created by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
However, we also understand that many parents have concerns about health and safety. Therefore, we are reaching out to you today to ask you to kindly complete a two-minute anonymous survey that will serve as guidance to our company in terms of camp enrollment, additional health and safety precautions, and other programs we can provide (such as virtual camps).
πΈNote: Please ONLY complete the survey if you have elementary or middle school-aged children and live in the state of Colorado
Use this link to complete the survey β¬οΈ
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GRNRRNB
Our goal is to collect 100 responses or more so that we have a good size sample to guide our decisions moving forward.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated as we move forward to conquering the course this summer!
Have a great holiday and we look forward to seeing you soon!
