Today we visited Hillman Schools to teach the students about scoring deer. It was a great time watching them measuring the antlers. And perfect timing with Michigans rifle season coming up in a couple weeks 🦌

Congratulations to this week’s day hunters, Geoffery, Brian, Heidi, and Joe — on a great job in the field! The season’s heating up, and we’re seeing some solid results all around. We’ve also had two cancellations, which means there are now openings available for October 28th and 30th. Don’t wait — these spots will go fast!

Hunting in the heat isn’t easy, but Limberlost still gets it done. The days are hot and long, but with patience and hard work, the harvest still comes together. No matter how warm it gets, Limberlost always finds a way to make it happen.
Whitetail bucks are starting to shed their summer coats, trading the reddish hue for a thicker, grayish-brown winter coat that blends with the changing woods. Apples are falling, the air is cool and crisp, and fog clings to the ground in the early mornings—a sure sign that hunting season is just around the corner. Bucks are becoming more active, and the woods are waking up with anticipation.

Just finished planting food plots, and the timing couldn’t be better. These plots aren’t just for attracting deer during the hunt; they’re built to provide essential forage as bucks recover from summer and prepare for the rut. With a mix of high-protein greens and cold-hardy crops like brassicas and winter wheat, the table is set for healthier deer and better hunting. Fall’s coming fast—now the real work begins.
