Pankow Racing

After two weeks of working on the car it’s hopefully finally ready for the triple 50’s tomorrow night at Flat Rock Speedway. It’s not pretty but hopefully will be fast. Come out and bring the kids as there are also fireworks at the end of the racing events. Hope to see you out there

Well last Saturday didn’t go as I wanted but the car was handling well and fast. Started the day with a new carb not working under load and stalling the motor during practice. Replaced that carb with a borrowed one and that was leaking gas, so went back to the first carb for qualifying. Adjusted the carb a little before attempting to qualify and had the same issue. So with no laps before the feature I went back to my carb from the first two nights of racing. I took a provisional and started 20th. Was able to move up to 6th place with 10 laps in the first 50 lap feature when a red flag came out. Had to restart on the outside and that lane wasn’t moving and ended up in 10 place. Started the second feature 10th and around lap 15 moved up to 6th place again and then my tires finally went away and spun out. A few laps later the car shut off ending my night. Well after the first night with the new(old) car pretty happy. Was slow in practice picked up some speed in the heat race and was able to get an all time fast lap for me in the feature with a 13.35. Won the heat race and got tangled up in a wreck in the feature but was able to finish the race and come in 14th. All damage is repaired and ready for Friday

Went to practice in Saturday and had a spring hanging up issue that caused me to get loose over corrected and hit the wall. Damage was limited to the bumper and air dam. The air dam is fixed and almost finished with the bumper. Should hopefully be ready for opening night this Saturday

Car is almost ready for Saturday practice. Just a couple small things and it will be done. Removing the pink side skirts and putting on orange ones is one of the things left
