A native of Denver, Colorado, Austin grew up ski racing for Team Breck in Breckenridge, Colorado. He raced at the USSA and FIS levels during high school and then raced collegiately at Colorado School of Mines. The 2025/2026 season will be Austin’s first season coaching with Beaver Mountain Ski Team and he is excited to bring his passion for ski racing to a new generation of athletes. Austin and his wife Jessica have two boys, Jackson (3 years) and William (10 months). In his spare time, Austin is a volunteer firefighter/EMT for the Central Box Elder Fire District. He also enjoys hiking, hunting, and running.

Our annual Cache Valley Cup was a success! It’s always a pleasure to ski and compete with our friends over at ! A big thank you to everyone who showed up, competed, and volunteered! 🦫🎿🧡🩵

A native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Harrison has served as president of the Beaver Mountain Ski Team Governing Board since 2021, as an Assistant Coach in 2023-24, and as the head U16 coach in 2024-25. Harrison ski raced for 13 years growing up in Colorado, and is now a U.S. Ski & Snowboard Level 100 certified coach. Off the hill, Harrison is the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education at Utah State University and is a Professor of Philosophy with specialization in the history of philosophy. Harrison has lived in Logan for 21 years and is, with his wife Amy, the proud parent of four daughters, two of whom are Beaver Mountain Ski Team alumnae.

A native of Park City, Utah, Jurgen is in his first season as an assistant coach for Beaver Mountain Ski Team. Starting skiing at less than two years old, Jurgen is passionate about being on snow. He raced for 10 years and competed in freeride for two years, both for Park City Ski & Snowboard. Jurgen has also skied every single month since October 2010, the month after he turned 4 years old. Jurgen is in his second year pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering with an Aerospace Emphasis. You can find him in USU jerseys racing downhill for the Utah State University Cycling Club or skiing freeride with the Utah State University Freeride Club, which he started this past fall, and is currently president of. Jurgen is an outdoor enthusiast in all seasons, having summited 10 state high points, almost every county high point in Utah, and frequenting 30+ mile mountain bike rides. Last year Jurgen helped coach Park City Freeride, but is excited to share his appreciation for skiing with racers at the Beav!

Finally back and our home turf!! We had a great first day back and look forward to an awesome season with you and your athletes in the new year!!

Meet one of our rock star assistant coaches, Amanda!

Amanda loves spending time with her family! When they’re not skiing together, they can usually be found hiking and camping. She and her husband have 7 kids, four of whom have raced with Beaver Mountain Ski Team! They went backpacking in the Wind Rivers this summer and they love playing and laughing with their dogs, Sissy and Gretel! Amanda grew up ski racing and made lots of happy memories in gates. She loves seeing kids enjoy the sport too!

In the face of a warm winter, the beav ski team persists at ! Keep thinking snow and we’ll see everyone at so soon!
