Longview area folks:
I am gearing up for the next wrestling season. If you have a child or teen interested in trying out wrestling this year, we'd love to have them join us at the Longview Wrestling Club / Team 515! Practices will begin the first week of October. Competition is never mandatory, but for those interested, the tournament season runs from the beginning of November to the end of February.

Olympic champion David Taylor is still pursuing his next Olympic shot, but he's already helping train the next generation of great American wrestlers!

We are looking to have several competitors at this tournament this weekend!

No practices at the gym this week! This evening, some of us are going up to Winnsboro for an "open mat" practice with the Winnsboro Wrestling Club. You are welcome to join us up there! And Thursday, we want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

Did you know Sean McDermott, the Buffalo Bills Head Coach, was a high school wrestler and credits much of his personal development to the sport?

Coach McDermott wasn’t your ordinary high school wrestler either, he was a back-to-back national prep champion with a 61-0 record! He has credited wrestling with helping him develop his ability to overcome adversity, build determination, and convert work ethic into recognizable performance.

McDermott would encourage anyone to give wrestling a try, but especially aspiring football players looking to take their game to the next level. Have you signed up for your high school wrestling season?
