The man you choose decides how your mornings feel, how your body reacts when your phone lights up, and whether you can ever fully relax in your own home.

Most women choose him within a few weeks and spend years paying for it.

Here are the 7 rules of choosing a partner, learned the hard way:

1. The 90-day rule: watch what he does, not what he says. Intensity is speed, consistency is love.

2. The actions rule: believe the pattern, not the promise.

If you keep falling for the same man in a different face, my book The Pattern Repeater shows you why. Comment “PATTERN” and I’ll send you the link.

3. The stress rule: see how he reacts when you say no. Anyone is charming while they're getting what they want.

4. The body rule: knots in your stomach aren't chemistry, they're an alarm. Calm is what safe feels like.

5. The repeat rule: different face, same ache? Same man.

6. The hunger rule: never choose while you're starving for love. Crumbs start to look like a feast.

7. The exit rule: decide what you'd leave over while your head is clear, before you're attached.

None of this is about distrusting love. It's what you learn from watching the same heartbreak play out in woman after woman who was sure this time was different. Pain you can see coming is pain you can skip.

Follow me if you're ready to stop attracting emotionally unavailable men.

Most women are far more careful with a job offer than with the person they let into their life.

These five rules are about slowing down at the start: watch the pattern, trust your body's signals and know your exits early.

Save it for before the next first date.

You're still planning things for two while he's already living like one. The affection has gone flat, the eye contact has gone missing, and somewhere inside, your body knows before your mind will admit it.

You keep waiting for the man you met at the beginning to come back, and you keep losing a little more of yourself in the waiting.

1. He answers, but he never reaches for you.
You get replies, but never the first move. The texts are short, the calls are rare, and the effort is always yours.

2. He goes quiet the moment you bring up the future.
You say "next year" and his face goes blank, or the subject suddenly changes. He won't say no, but he never says yes either.

Btw do you keep ending up in relationships like this one, where you're holding on to someone who's already halfway out the door?

I wrote The Pattern Repeater for exactly that. It explains why you keep choosing the same man in a different face. Comment PATTERN and I'll send it to you.

3. He's physically there, but emotionally somewhere else.
He sits beside you on the couch while his mind is miles away. You can feel the distance in the same room, and it's lonelier than being alone.

5. He stopped fighting for the relationship, but also stopped fighting with you.
The arguments disappeared, and it isn't peace. It's what indifference looks like when he no longer cares enough to disagree.

6. He keeps you close enough to stay, but far enough to never commit.
Just enough warmth to keep you hoping and never enough to make you feel chosen. You live on crumbs and call it a relationship.

7. He wants you to be the one who ends it.
He'd rather you walk away than own the decision himself. He's waiting for you to do the hard part so he never has to be the villain.

If you saw yourself in more than a few of these, the problem isn't that you missed the signs. You saw them, and you stayed anyway, hoping that this time the ending would change.

It won't change until the pattern underneath changes, and that pattern lives below conscious thought, where you can't think your way out of it.

Comment PATTERN and I'll send you the book.

Staying in an unhappy relationship for the kids feels like the loving choice.

But children pick up on the tension in a home, even when you think you're hiding it.

They're also learning what a healthy relationship looks like from the one they see every day.

A happy home isn't about keeping everyone under one roof.

It's about what your daughter sees, feels, and learns there.

Save this for the day you need the reminder, or send it to a mom who needs to hear it.

You've spent months asking for a little more effort, a little more clarity, a little more of him. Then you finally pull back, and suddenly he's calling, writing paragraphs, promising to change, looking at you like he's terrified. It feels like the man you were waiting for finally showed up, and it hurts because he only arrived once you were halfway out the door.

Seven reasons he's only serious when you're about to walk away:

1. Until you leave, nothing costs him anything. You've always been there, so he's never had to feel what your absence would be like. Only when the loss becomes real does he wake up.

2. He doesn't notice what you carry until you put it down. The planning, the emotional labor and the patience all felt like the background of his life. When you step back, he suddenly sees how much of it was you.

3. Your leaving hits his ego before his heart. Being left feels like a threat to how he sees himself. The panic you see is often more about being rejected than about losing you.

4. Distance feels safe to him, and closeness doesn't. An emotionally unavailable man pulls away when you get closer. When you finally pull away yourself, the pressure drops and he can suddenly say everything he couldn't before.

5. It's a crisis response, not a lasting change. He'll show effort, tenderness and promises while you're heading for the door. Once you stay, the old pattern quietly comes back.

6. You've taught him you don't actually go. Every time you almost left and then stayed, he learned the cost was zero. So he only gets serious when it looks like this time might be different.

7. Your nervous system mistakes the relief for love. After months of feeling unseen, his sudden attention hits like a rush. That craving for the moment he finally shows up is what keeps you tied to him.

If you're tired of loving men who only show up when you're leaving, follow me. I help women rewire the subconscious pattern that keeps pulling them toward men who won't choose them until it's almost too late.

You know what healthy love looks like.
So why do you keep getting pulled toward emotionally unavailable men?

Because your conscious mind can want one thing while your subconscious keeps repeating what feels familiar.

That’s why more dating advice, boundaries, or attachment-style quizzes don’t always get to the root.

If you keep repeating the pattern, it may be time to work on what’s underneath it.

That’s where hypnotherapy comes in!

You sit across from a man who looks perfect on paper and feel nothing. Or you feel everything for the one with a foot out the door. So you tell yourself you'll take a break and let the right one find you. Here's why that's not working.

1. The pattern doesn't go on break when you do. It waits in your subconscious and picks up mid-sentence the moment you say yes to someone new. A year of being single doesn't erase it.

2. Time alone doesn't heal what you can't see. Journaling and travel won't touch what drives your attraction underneath. You can be at peace and still be running the same programming.

3. You get better at being alone, not better at choosing. Your body still leans toward the emotionally unavailable one. Independence makes you stronger, but it doesn't change who you're drawn to.

5. You know exactly what you want and still feel drawn to the opposite. You could list every quality of a healthy partner from memory. Then someone hot and cold walks in and your stomach flips. Knowing better isn't feeling better.

6. Healthy love feels boring to a pattern built on chasing. So you talk yourself out of the steady ones. Calm feels like something is missing when your body learned that love means effort.

7. Every year you wait, hope wears a little thinner. Another wedding, another birthday, another "it's coming." Waiting feels safe, but it quietly costs you years.

The pattern that keeps attracting emotionally unavailable men lives in your subconscious, and it can be rewired. Once it shifts, steady love finally feels like home.

If you're done attracting emotionally unavailable men and ready to break the pattern, follow me.

Taking a break from dating won't change the pattern that keeps attracting emotionally unavailable men.

It only puts it on pause.

Patterns live in the subconscious, and the subconscious can be rewired.

Once it is, healthy love stops feeling boring and starts feeling like home.

You're exhausted in a way sleep doesn't fix. You handle the plans, the mood, and the mess, and somewhere along the way you went from his partner to his staff.

You've been making everything happen for so long that it feels like who you are, so asking for anything back makes you feel difficult.

Seven hard truths about the man who lets you cook, serve, and clean while he just eats:

1. He doesn't notice what you do because he's never had to.

2. Doing more will never make him do more. You're not earning his effort, you're replacing it.

3. A thank you that costs him nothing isn't effort.

4. You're not being generous anymore, you're being drained.

5. He's not incapable, he's comfortable.

6. The day you stop, he won't see a change in himself. He'll see a change in you and call you difficult.

7. This pattern started long before him. It's often subconscious, which is why trying harder never fixes it.

Being the one who holds everything together is a survival strategy your mind is still running. I help independent women rewire it.

Follow along if you're ready to stop being the only one who shows up.

There's a specific kind of tired that comes from loving someone who only meets you halfway. Not the loud, dramatic kind. The quiet kind, where you keep lowering the bar without even noticing, just to keep the peace and keep him around.

Seven signs you're his backup plan, not his priority:

1. He only reaches out when it's convenient for him — never during the moments that would actually mean something.

2. You're always the one rearranging your life around his, and it's stopped even registering as unfair.

3. He keeps you separate from the parts of his life that matter — his people, his routine, his future plans.

4. The second someone new shows interest in him, his attention toward you quietly disappears.

5. You're the one holding the emotional weight of this connection, checking in, smoothing things over, doing the work of two.

6. He stays deliberately vague about what this is, because clarity would mean he'd have to actually choose.

7. Some part of you already clocked all of this weeks ago — the overthinking wasn't confusion, it was your intuition trying to get your attention.

Patterns like this don't fix themselves just because you finally see them clearly. The nervous system doesn't respond to logic, it responds to repetition, which is exactly why you can know all of this and still find yourself back here with the next guy.

Follow along if you want to actually understand why you keep choosing this, and how to change it at the root instead of just white-knuckling through it again.
