COACH CHUCK'S COACHING TENETS:

-- Teach them as you coach them. Tell them why they're doing what they're doing so they can apply that to things even outside of football.

-- Let them know It's ok to make mistakes. Mistakes are inevitable. The goal is to improve to where mistakes happen less and less.

-- Let them figure out/correct some things amongst themselves. Encourage critical thinking, communication, and trust as teammates.

-- Create leaders and let them all lead at some point to get the experience of leading, and to also know that even leaders follow other leaders.

-- Treat all players fair, but that might not always mean they will be treated the same as other players, but fairness in accordance to that player and the situation at hand.
