Pitta people can get so focused on the world around them that they forget to take care of themselves. If you tend to have a fiery personality and are prone to impatience, it's easy to get caught up in the chaos of life. But taking time for yourself is as important as any other part of your routine.

Meditation can help you get a better night's sleep by calming your mind and helping you regulate your breathing. It also helps create a sense of inner peace, which can help you unwind at the end of the day.

2. ๐˜ฟ๐™ง๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™  ๐™ก๐™š๐™จ๐™จ ๐™˜๐™ค๐™›๐™›๐™š๐™š & ๐™–๐™ก๐™˜๐™ค๐™๐™ค๐™ก
Caffeine and alcohol are stimulants. If you drink them before bedtime, they can make it difficult for you to fall asleep or stay asleep. Try cutting back on caffeine and alcohol in the evening so that your body can relax and get ready for sleep.

3. ๐™๐™ช๐™ง๐™ฃ ๐™ค๐™›๐™› ๐™ฎ๐™ค๐™ช๐™ง ๐™จ๐™˜๐™ง๐™š๐™š๐™ฃ๐™จ ๐™–๐™ฃ ๐™๐™ค๐™ช๐™ง ๐™—๐™š๐™›๐™ค๐™ง๐™š ๐™—๐™š๐™™๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ข๐™š
Screens emit blue lightโ€”a wavelength that tricks our brains into thinking we're still awake when we should be sleeping, so avoid using any screens (TVs, phones, laptops) within an hour of going to bed if possible. If not possible (because of work), try wearing amber-tinted glasses (available online) while using these devices to reduce their effects on melatonin production in your bodyโ€”melatonin is what regulates our sleep cycle!

When kapha dosha is out of balance, youโ€™ll probably feel sluggish and low in energy.

Tree pose is a simple yet effective balancing posture to help balance kapha dosha

Grounding down into the earth with the standing leg, while pulling energy up as you lift the thigh, pull the belly in, and raise the arms, creates the perfect balance of energy moving upwards and downwards.

This pose helps to counteract the density of too much kapha. As you breathe deeply in tree pose, invite in a sense of spaciousness and vitality.

Ayurveda has long used diet as a principal means of creating health within the body and mind. Ayurveda defined principles for making the advice, Let food be thy medicine" practical.

Food selection, meal timing, and state of awareness during meals either increases ojas (vitality) or ama (toxicity).

Here are 4 simple rules for those for the beginner that wishes to tap into the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda and use it to create health, vitality, and energy through food.

๐Ÿ‘Eat in proper quantities - eat until satisfied, not full.

๐ŸฅฆEat the freshly cooked food - the best way to increase ojas, the supplier of life force in the body, is to increase prana. Foods with abundant prana come straight from the Earth. Therefore, eating foods that are as fresh as possible will increase prana more readily

๐Ÿง„Do not eat food in a hurry - mealtime is an opportunity to connect with the inherent energy and information of the food you consume. eat with deep awareness using your senses.

๐Ÿฅ—Eat according to your body constitution - Ayurveda maintains that each person has a unique mind-body constitution, known as a dosha. By eating foods that address your dosha imbalance, harmony can be restored with the body.

Each of these ancient Ayurvedic rules will help you remain healthy not only by virtue of the food you are eating but how you eat it. And donโ€™t forget to take your time to enjoy your meals and be grateful for the foods you eat along the way.

You are activating and lengthening external and internal oblique muscles and the shoulders are coming into alignment.

๐Ÿ‘‰Let's jump into the steps:

๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธStep or jump your feet wide.
๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธPivot in your left foot; turn out your right foot 90 degrees.
๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธPress into your outer left heel. Reach your right hand to the floor and left hand to the ceiling.
๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธPress into your inner right foot. Turn your right thigh outward.
๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธPress into your outer left heel. Turn your left thigh outward.
๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธReach your arms apart.
๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธTurn your navel and chest upwards. Gaze up at your top thumb.

๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธTo exit the first side: Press into your outer left heel. Pull up with your top arm to come to standing. Turn your feet forward.

Repeat on the second side.

Remember to keep yourself honest, patient, and in alignment. The flexibility will come, but not if you become injured in the process.

๐ŸŒฌBe sure to come out of this pose on the inhale, engaging the abdominals to help you rise without stressing the lumbar spine.

Use muscle, not momentum here and then switch to the other side.

I have just finished going through my morning routine and now I feel ready to face the day, with more energy and focus.

Before I created my morning routine, I wandered somewhat aimlessly through my mornings and most of the day to be honest with lots of to-doโ€™s but without much direction and energy.

But all that changed when I wrote up a routine and started itโ€ฆ years later I am still on this routine and itโ€™s been a gamechanger. A morning routine really sets you up for a good start to the day and I do believe that if we start as mean to go on, we can get great results, be much more productive as well as feel stronger and happier.

Below is my routine to help me get off to a good start in the day and feel happy and productive.

Feel free to use it as is, change the order around, take things out, add things in, make it work for you.

Maybe yours is totally different, thatโ€™s ok too.

โ˜€๏ธStretch, breathe, meditate, Journal, Give thanks
โ˜€๏ธProbiotics & a healthy breakfast
โ˜€๏ธDry brush skin, Shower
โ˜€๏ธUse natural moisturizer, Deo & toothpaste, mouthwash
โ˜€๏ธHave hydrating herbal tea

I also take a lovely walk, breathe in the fresh air and take in my surroundings and be thankful for mother nature.
