Something I think about often
If only my aging dad knew before time took him.
Not that child version of me could have done anything but i believe every parent, grandparent and adult should see their lives as small choices that lead to a lifetime of wonderful experiences.
Today you might just be doing a glute bridge in physical therapy and a year from now you could be hiking to Mt Shasta for a 10 mile adventure ☀️🏔️
Wherever you start theres always something more to come ✨
MVNT Studio
A private studio est 2017. Now in Mar Vista! Private training for post rehab & chronic pain friendly fitness mixing pilates, yoga, 🏋
Little drive little windy hike☀️🌬️
To be honest I almost tipped over from the wind 😂
was 30 mile gusts this morning
What I love most about my pilates practice is I get to do what I need most.
I was at a class the other night and realized all my weight lifting days i’ve been overusing some muscles and this little movement just feels so good to open up my hip.
I’m one of the few who can’t stay here too long but it is quite enjoyable once you find the right angle 😋

“I first started working with Julie when I was recovering from an injury, and she was absolutely instrumental in helping me rebuild strength safely and thoughtfully. Even after I recovered, I continued taking lessons with her because the quality of her teaching is just that good.
Julie is warm, open, and incredibly knowledgeable. She has a remarkable ability to notice subtle things about body placement and alignment, and she makes small adjustments that make a huge difference. Her cues are clear, thoughtful, and tailored to exactly what your body needs in the moment.
Since working with her, I’ve gained so much strength, stability, and balance. She has also helped me address lingering shoulder and neck pain in a way that feels sustainable and supportive. I’ve learned an enormous amount from her over time, and every session leaves me feeling stronger and more connected to my body.
I truly cannot recommend Julie highly enough. She is an exceptional teacher and a wonderful person to work with.”
One of my longtime client shares her experience and outcomes ❤️
I do my very best to make sure you get to enjoy life to its fullest potential and even better than where you started

Recommended to Pilates by your PT or Medical Provider?
Let’s discuss what you can do to see if that studio or teacher is a good fit for you!
Yes theres still time to practice pilates
I might be thinking a lot even when I watch my clients practice with me
But more often its best for a less is more approach
~
I’m a lot more modified than the typical pilates client
Some days I get nerve impingement and numbness, other days I’m just 🙅♀️ and then other days I might do fine and be laid out later that night!
It’s a day to day living when “I dont look injured” is what I internalize and you know disability is a wide and vast variety but then you find people say “You cant be a good teacher if you cant do it”
Thats called ableism
Here’s to helping my fellow injured humans enjoy living in their bodies again ✨❤️

Knowing where bones align (thanks college cadaver lab!) could really change a stretch for someone.
Sometimes just an added adjustment or prop for a client makes the world of a difference 🙌🏽
Also this is such a supportive stretch being upright than on the floor in yoga

One of my clients favorite moves
it’s a challenge and a stretch all together 🖤
Opening the spine through lengthening,
Engaging the arms and abdominals for strength!
👀 this weekend will be a real treat
Some of my favorite things for jumpboard
• a dynamic tool to help runners
• a alternative way for my cancer clients to get more lymphatic movement
• for postpartum athletes to see if impact and pfm are recovered for training
It all relates to the back, hips and stability of muscles and joints!
