Tomorrow: The DNA of YES training - The ethical structure behind attention, trust, and a clear, resonant yes.

What if you knew, with precision, what your people needed to hear in order to give you their attention?

And what if, once you had that attention, you knew exactly what to share so they didn’t just understand your work, but trusted you as the right person to deliver it?

And what if, after trusting you, they felt such a deep sense of safety that committing to meaningful, high-level, transformational work felt natural.

And what if they had that unmistakable sixth sense telling them: this is exactly the right place for me?

These are the ingredients in the DNA of YES.

When all four are present, something rare happens.

The right people recognize themselves.

They commit at the right moment.

To the right work.

With very little friction.

And just as importantly, the wrong people tend to dismiss themselves naturally.

This is what I’ll be teaching in The DNA of YES training, how to create this experience across all of your communication, from launches and emails to social posts, keynotes, conversations, and pitch decks.

The training begins tomorrow, with a second live option on Tuesday.

We already have an exceptional group of thoughtful, experienced practitioners registered.

We’ll be rolling up our sleeves and doing real work in the room.

If this speaks to you, I hope you’ll join us!

You can register at the link in the comments.

Big love,
Jeffrey

Why Traditional Marketing Fails Visionary Work

Here's the thing about carrying work the marketplace isn't asking for yet:

People need it. Deeply.

But they don't have words for what they're yearning for.

You know you have something essential - work you're meant to deliver because the internal call won't let up… but when you use traditional marketing, it just doesn't land.

It's confusing. Lonely. And frustrating as hell.

Over time you start to wonder if you're nuts for following the internal call to bring something new to your space.

But here's what I know: the gap isn't in your work.

You've had those magical moments where someone gets it instantly. When a client says "this is what I've been waiting for." You KNOW the right people exist.

The gap is in how you're being taught to talk about it.

There's an invisible architecture to how people say yes to emerging work. Four specific activators that create recognition before logic even kicks in.

Just this week, two clients told me what happened when they used one of these activators:

One shared one sentence at two networking events. Both times, hands shot up: "We need to talk."

Another included it in an email. It got forwarded to one of the most prominent female founders in her country, who reached out:

"Whatever this is, I need to know more."

Both had been skeptical people would even understand. They'd tried traditional marketing that fell flat.

But this activated something in people, and they responded right away:

"This is exactly what I need."

Not "sounds interesting." Not "let me think about it."

Immediate, cellular recognition.

It wasn't naming a logical problem or using emotional persuasion.

It was touching something dormant. Waking up the part of people that had been waiting, yearning - but had no language for what they were looking for.

This invisible architecture is what The DNA of Yes teaches.

Language that reaches where recognition lives. Where someone knows in an instant: "What I've been unable to name has a home here."

If you're carrying work people need before they know they need it, this training is for you.

You'll learn the four specific activators - and how to weave them into everything you say.

Next week. Link in comments.

When I share The DNA of YES with people, whether they’re leading companies or building one-on-one practices, the reaction is almost always the same.

“Oh my God. This is kind of blowing my mind.”

And right behind that:

“And… this just makes so much sense.”

In that moment, the fog clears.

Not just around sales. Not around tactics or persuasion.

Something deeper.

Because this work isn’t really about “getting people to buy.”

It’s about resonant sales.
Sales from the right people.
The people you are actually here to serve.

The ones who feel your work and say, “This is the thing I’ve been waiting for.”

What most people don’t realize is that those moments of instant resonance aren’t accidents.

We’ve all experienced them.
You meet someone. They hear you describe your work. And something inside them just knows.

It’s immediate. It’s clean. It’s undeniable.

And then there are all the other times when that doesn’t happen.

When things sound reasonable. Logical. Even likable.

But nothing actually moves.

For people doing innovative work, work that doesn’t fit into neat categories or familiar boxes, this is where things break down.

Because having someone’s mind say, “Yes, this makes sense,” isn’t enough.

Even having their mind say yes and their emotions say, “I like you,” still isn’t enough.

When your work is an answer to a calling, it has to touch something deeper.

Something inside people that recognizes,
“Oh… this is the thing I’ve been asking for. I just didn’t have words for it.”

That’s what The DNA of YES is about.

I’m leading a training on this framework.

If you know your work is powerful but it doesn’t consistently land, this training will give you the messaging map that creates immediate recognition and engagement from the right people.

When people say, “I just knew you were the one” - this is why.

You’ve felt it before.

That moment when someone reads your post, hears you speak, or lands on your website and says…

“I don’t know what it is about this… but it just feels right.”

That’s not luck.

It’s not magic.

It’s the result of four specific energetic activators working together - speaking directly to the mind, heart, gut, and soul of the right person.

And when all four fire together?

You don’t have to chase or convince…

Because they already know.

I’m teaching exactly how to do this in my new workshop:

The DNA of YES - The Four Energetic Activators That Elicit a Soul-Level Yes

For purpose-driven entrepreneurs doing soul-aligned work.

Over the past few years, I’ve done a weekly livestream in my Facebook group called . But as times change, callings change, I’m being pulled in a new direction (more on that below).
FOLLOWING INSPIRED IMPULSES
Throughout my life and career, everything that has been truly fruitful has been inspired in some way. There’s always been a nudge, an inkling, or an energetic pulse that has drawn me forward and guided me to what I was meant to experience, do, and deliver to the people I serve.
They usually start as a faint sense of something, alerting me to a new opportunity coming into view on the horizon—like a road marker saying, “Head in this direction!” It feels like the beginning of a new trip, with an on-ramp to a highway I’ve never traveled before. Where it’s meant to take me always contains some mystery.
Of course, not everything I’ve done has been inspired—I’ve done things because they “made sense,” because I felt obligated, or because my ego got hooked by a perceived opportunity. And each time, I’ve been reminded that those “opportunities” only cost me—time, money, purpose, or all of the above.
WE NEED PEOPLE—OUR PEOPLE!
When inspired impulses arise, it usually takes a while to make sense of it! The first impulse doesn’t contain all the info—that comes over time. And I always need a secret decoder ring to translate the energetic impulse and calling into a clear direction.
That secret decoder ring?
My peeps!
I’m someone who needs to talk things out in order to understand what’s cookin’ in my field. Contemplation and dialogue are the tools that help a clear picture of what it’s “meant to be” start to appear. More specifically, I need to do this with my peeps! These are people who see me, understand the journey I’m on, and provide accurate, insightful reflection.
When the clarity eventually drops in, there’s always a moment when something in my body clicks in with absolute energetic correctness—and Boom! Suddenly, I know in my bones where I’m meant to go. That’s when action begins in earnest.
When I don’t get into dialogue with trusted people, I usually slog through in confusion, significantly delaying the implementation of the impulse.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR MY WEEKLY MESSAGES?
So… what does this all have to do with and where things are going?
Many years ago, I launched the brand The Courageous Messenger, because my people are messengers! Over the past few years, I’ve experienced some big shifts and changes—both internally and in my business—and I’m now being guided to launch a new brand:
Innovating the Invisible.
My friend and colleague, Melanie Benson, downloaded this for me, and the moment it came through, I knew it was what’s next.
One of the things that emerged quickly was the inspiration to launch a new Innovating the Invisible LIVE SHOW, which I’ll be rolling out in the next few months.
Each week, I’ll be in conversation with a colleague about innovating the invisible—exploring both the strategic side of business growth and the internal and spiritual development of leadership.
I share all of this with you because I am concluding the weekly livestreams in order to give my full attention and energy to this new broadcast stream.
You’ll still receive regular emails from me, but the live broadcast is evolving.
A BIG THANK YOU!
When began, all I knew was that I was being called to show up weekly and tune into “the field” with you—to share whatever information was coming through for us as a community. The purpose was always to activate the deeper knowing of who we are, why we’re here, and what we’re meant to contribute right now.
While this format has been one-way in terms of broadcasting, my experience has been that we’ve been conversation partners over these years of weekly messages. It’s all relational (far more than we often realize), and when we approach our businesses in a deeply relational way, it allows the deeper truth we all need to flow.
RESPONDING TO WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OUR WORLD
I wanted to share the journey of this evolution with you because your calling—and the work that comes from it—may be changing as well. After all, our world is in a state of massive flux, and our callings don’t live in a vacuum.
If you’re in transition, I encourage you to trust where you’re being called—even if the details aren’t yet clear. What’s next is always in response to what your people need next!
I look forward to diving into this next chapter with you… as we Innovate The Invisible, together!

When I moved to LA, I knew someone would invite me to live with them because my guidance told me they would. I had no idea how, but I trusted it. For six months, every time someone asked where I was moving to in LA, I’d say, “I don’t know yet, but someone’s going to invite me to live with them… so wherever that person lives.” I knew it sounded wild, but I also knew it was true. And it happened exactly that way.
A year later, I was on a bike ride along the Pacific Ocean and made a commitment with the Universe to go all-in on my big calling—with one condition: that I would have a partner by my side. I’ll never forget the sense that the Universe was chuckling at me, as if that condition was difficult for it to fulfill!
I knew I had some work to do to become the kind of person I’d need to be for the kind of partnership I desired. I spent two years doing just that—exploring, growing, and opening my heart—all while knowing in my bones that my partner was coming into my life.
In the spring of 2016, I was looking through my calendar for the fall and realized that it was wide open, with no travel or speaking booked. It immediately hit me — that space was open for the relationship that would enter my life that fall. Sure enough, Pete and I had our first date on November 1st, 2016 (and we’re getting married this coming September)!
Those are just a few examples of the many “magical experiences” I’ve had in life. They became so frequent that my friends coined the phrase “The ‘Of Course’ Life.” They’d hear some new story of magic in my life and say, “Of course that happened for you! That stuff always happens for you!”
I would remind them that it’s not personal to me. Truth is, listening and acting on faith is a practice anyone can cultivate.
Upon deeper reflection, what I’ve realized is that with each and every one of these magical experiences, I was living an affirmation. Whatever my deep knowing was, it became my mantra—my truth—my living affirmation… and eventually, my reality.
But what about when that kind of clarity isn’t on tap?
In every one of those experiences of supreme serendipity, I had a living affirmation that was related to a clear direction forward in my outer life.
So how do you navigate when you’re in a period of life that’s more directed toward your inner life? Could you have a living affirmation for that?
Lately, I’ve been in a season that feels a little unfamiliar to me…
I’m entering this year with a lot of clarity about the overall direction I’m meant to go in my business to fulfill my mission. I have some very cool projects unfolding that feel true and compelling—projects that I know are building the foundation for what’s meant to come next.
And while I have a good sense of where things are headed, I don’t have the singular, this-is-my-compass kind of knowing I’ve had at other times in my life.
So I asked myself:
What if I choose a living affirmation to follow in my inner world?
The first thing that came to me was: “I am learning to walk in the dark.”
That’s the title of a book I’m reading right now by Barabara Brown Taylor, and when I picked it up, I immediately knew that was an affirmation to live by. With so much upheaval and uncertainty in our world right now, I feel like many of us are learning this—perhaps more deeply than ever before.
Then, on a call with some friends, they added another affirmation that totally turns my crank: “I love it when the universe delights and surprises me.”
In Human Design, I’m a 2/4—a hermit/opportunist.
The hermit in me needs cave time, where new insights and opportunities are born. The opportunist then takes those insights and generates new paths forward—for myself and the people I serve.
Here’s why I’m sharing this with you today…
If you’re in a season of great clarity and expansion, there’s probably affirmation that’s already guiding you to what you’re building. Name it and affirm it!
If you’re in a season of uncertainty or in liminal space, perhaps it’s time to consciously enter the dark and find the living affirmation that will guide you there.
Whatever season you’re in, your living affirmation can be a profound compass that helps you align with the deeper truth that’s already unfolding for you.
Let it guide you. Let it shape you. Let it call the right things into your life.
If you follow it, I bet the universe will surprise you.
Big Love,
Jeffrey

I was taking a drive with my dog Tucker the other day, reflecting on climate change and the fires in LA, as well as Hurricane Helene in NC. I imagined two young people in the future (assuming we make it to that future) having a conversation about the past. One saying to the other, “Did you know that people used to burn fossil fuels for energy?” and the other replying, “What? Why would they do that???”

As I kept driving, I immersed myself as fully as possible into this imagined future and the consciousness shift that would make such a conversation possible.

Then my inner guidance spoke: “THIS is what it means to activate a new story for humanity… and this is the work you and the people are here for.”

I got the clear indication that it’s imperative that we enter the world we’re here to help create. That we step so fully into the consciousness of the world we’re here to help usher people into that we start to live and breathe the consciousness of that new world…

Because it’s from inside that consciousness that we see the full potential of the work we’re here to bring to the world…

And get a glimpse of the future we are building.

After all, if your work is an answer to a spiritual calling, the consciousness of the work itself exists in an entirely different field than the consciousness most of us live in and from on any given day.

Humans are story-driven beings. We create our world and make sense of it through the stories we tell. I’ve spoken at length about the work of activating “Humanity’s New Story.” But what does that really mean?

It means giving life to stories that reshape the way we understand ourselves and construct our world. Stories that are significantly different—and better—than the ones we’re living by today.

The fires in LA have driven home for me a stark truth: telling these new stories, and inspiring others to adopt them, isn’t just a nice idea—it’s a necessary reality.

Whether in your own life or in society at large, the consciousness we live in and act from influences the stories we tell—and those stories, in turn, create the reality we experience.

The people I work with have a deep sense of calling—and that calling carries within it a new consciousness that those you’re meant to serve are asking for.

When we translate that consciousness into offers delivered by our businesses, we create portals to this new consciousness….

So the functional purpose of your business is to solve the stated problem your customer has.

But the transcendent purpose of your business is to be a portal into a whole new world—a world animated by a new story, rooted in a higher consciousness.

This may sound like lofty language, but it’s actually quite tangible. When a person, organization, community, or culture changes its consciousness, its stories change and thinking shifts, which transforms how they function.

This is our work.

It starts with each one of us stepping fully into the new world we’re here to usher your people into—so consistently and completely that you’re living the reality you’re building a portal to through your business.

Because that’s what people will notice first: how different your reality is from the one they live in. And that’s when the ones who’ve been asking for change will be ready to step in.

I live in Los Angeles, and after this past week, I’ve struggled with what to share in this week’s Monday Insight. I’m not yet in sense-making mode, so I thought I’d share a much more personal message and update instead.

First, let me say that we’re safe, and our home wasn’t affected. While friends and family have lost property, they are all safe as well. We’re very fortunate.

Last Tuesday afternoon we got word that the Palisades was on fire. I immediately called my dear friend who lives there and thankfully, she had already evacuated her home. We have no idea if it's still standing, but the chances are very slim.

Tuesday evening the Eaton fire in Altadena broke out, where my partner, Pete, grew up. His 89-year-old dad and 77-year-old aunt live in the house he grew up in, and they evacuated to our home and are now staying with us indefinitely. Fortunately, while their home is filled with soot, it is still standing. However, their guest house was burned to the ground, along with the home behind it and many others in the neighborhood and city. Who knows how long they’ll be without power or water, so they’ll likely be with us for the foreseeable future. That said, we feel incredibly fortunate to have the space to house them—and a strange blessing to have this unexpected time together.

On Wednesday, Pete took them back to their house to retrieve some belongings, and the area looks like a war zone. Here’s a photo of them walking up the driveway the day after the fire started.

People are grappling with the weight of lost memories and ways of life that are suddenly gone. The middle school Pete attended is gone. The drugstore where Pete’s dad has been a regular for decades—where everyone knows him by name—burned down, along with the entire business district it was part of.

On Wednesday night, just as we sat down for dinner, the Sunset fire in Runyon Canyon ignited—just two miles from our house. While we weren’t in the immediate evacuation zone, we packed our bags and put them in the car, knowing how quickly things can turn. Thankfully, firefighters knocked that fire down quickly, and by midnight it was clear we weren’t in danger. We finally went to bed.
Throughout the city, fires continue to pop up, leaving everyone on edge. Many of my friends have lost their homes, and almost everyone I’ve spoken to has either had to evacuate or is housing people who have. Our collective nervous systems are exhausted, the grief is palpable, and the enormity of what’s ahead is starting to sink in.

Friday night we had just sat down with Pete’s dad and aunt to watch Wicked at home when my brother called. The Palisades Fire was moving towards their house in Encino. While he and his family weren’t in the evacuation zone, it was expanded close to them and they weren’t feeling safe. He, his wife and my niece and nephew came over and we had a massive slumber party (which the kids were very excited for!).

Saturday morning, I went to yoga, and it felt like the first “normal” thing I’ve done all week. Even then, it’s surprising how much emotion is lingering just beneath the surface. When I left the gym, my yoga teacher joined me in the elevator to the parking garage. She pressed the button, looked over, and asked with knowing eyes, “How are you doing?” I immediately felt the tremble in my chest as my eyes welled up, and I just said, “Okay. You?” Her eyes softened as she replied, “Same.”

Tragedy of any kind tends to bring perspective. It’s almost cliché to say, but times like these remind us how much we need one another and how deeply relationships matter. The way people are pulling together and supporting one another is truly beautiful. Neighbors near both our house and Pete’s dad’s house in Altadena have been incredible. I’ve also received so many messages from people across the country asking if we’re okay or if we need a place to stay—even just to get out of Dodge for a bit.
As I said at the start of this message, I’m not much in sense-making mode yet, but if a few takeaways are beginning to emerge for me, they are:
• People are amazing. Not all of them, and not all of the time, but far more than we see reflected in the media. Tragedy or extreme circumstances reveal more of who we are, and I’m seeing a lot of beauty all around me. I think we intrinsically know this, but it’s been driven home for me this week.
• We need one another. Modern society has stripped us of relying on one another in “normal” times with all our conveniences, but times of crisis remind us of this fundamental truth: we truly are in this together, and we only get through it together.
• Life is fleeting, so if you know you’re here for a purpose, get to it. I often talk about activating “Humanity’s New Story,” and in times like this, that quickly shifts from being an idea or concept to a tangible necessity.

May we all find strength in one another, purpose in the challenges that lie ahead, and beauty in the connections that carry us through.
