I love doorknocking because I learn so much during one-on-one conversations about what’s wrong in this city and how we can fix it.

The climate crisis isn’t coming — it’s here. Record heat, worsening air quality, and rising costs are already reshaping daily life in our communities.
We don’t have time for half-measures. We need bold investments in green space, real public transit alternatives, and a just transition away from fossil fuels that protects working families.
We’ve been proud to work with the Sierra Club for our first three years in office, and we’re honored to win their endorsement in this campaign.
Rick Caruso can attack us with outdated rhetoric, but people deserve the truth: this isn’t an easy fix. This is a serious issue that warrants real solutions rooted in care.

🌱 Endorsement Alert! 🌱
We’re honored to earn the endorsement of . Environmental justice is at the core of this movement, and together we’ll fight for cleaner air and healthier neighborhoods by electrifying buildings, cutting emissions, and investing in public transit.
People are dying everyday from traffic violence because for too long we’ve prioritized convenience at the cost of people being killed. After we built 2.1 miles of protected bike lanes across Hollywood Boulevard, traffic violence dropped, and public transit use skyrocketed. And now with Sunset for All entering public outreach, a networth of protected bike lanes from DTLA to WeHo is within reach.

Growing up, I built bikes with my friends. With all the chaos around us, this gave all of us an escape— and my first taste of independence.
As a kid in Los Angeles in the early 1990s, gang violence was a far greater concern than traffic violence. Since then, homicides have dropped 77% — but traffic deaths have increased.
That’s why when we took office, we committed to prioritizing lives over convenience. We’ve delivered dozens of mobility upgrades across the district, including CD13’s first protected bike lanes — 2.1 miles on Hollywood Boulevard. Since installation, traffic violence has declined and bus ridership along the corridor has surged.
This is part of a bigger vision: making it safer and easier to get around our city. With Sunset For All entering public outreach, we’re building toward a connected bike network from Downtown to West Hollywood and beyond.
We’re advancing a community-led vision that works for everyone — no matter how they get around. Thank you to Streets For All for helping to lead this movement to make our streets safer for everyone.
