After some reflection I can say i’m happy to place in my first ever show but far from satisfied. I took 4th in my class in mens physique. I chose such a large show to start because I wanted to see how I stacked up. Two years of training and strict dieting went into this and it was awesome seeing all the pieces fall into place. A 16 week bodybuilding prep was one of the most mentally/physically challenging things i’ve ever completed and truly gave me a new respect for this sport.

I started prep at a lean 245 and cut down to 225 stage weight. I showed up comp day flatter than I planned I was very reserved on the carbs in fear of spilling over. This is all a learning process and now I know. I’m planning on taking a true off-season, bulking up to 275/280 before my next show. Some of my personal critiques include arm thickness, overall conditioning, and leg development. If everything goes to plan I will make my classic physique debut.
