The Portland Fire never really gave themselves a chance against the Atlanta Dream.
In a tough 20-point loss, Portland finished with 25 field goals made and 28 turnovers.

Meaning they nearly gave the ball away more times than they scored from the field.
The Dream made them pay, turning those season-high 28 turnovers into 33 points and controlling the game from start to finish.

Despite the loss, there were a few bright spots:

🔹 Sarah Ashlee Barker: 14 points
🔹 Carla Leite: 11 points

The Fire were also without key playmaker Bridget Carleton, whose absence was felt throughout the game as Portland struggled to organize the offense and take care of the basketball.

After winning three straight, the loss drops Portland to 5-4 and serves as a reminder of how thin the margin for error can be in this league.

Was this just an off night without Bridget Carleton…or did the Dream expose a bigger issue for the Fire? 👀

Jessica Shepard isn’t just leading the league in triple-doubles this season, but she practically owns the category by herself right now.

Most triple-doubles this season:

🔹 Jessica Shepard — 2
🔹 Every other WNBA player combined — 0

That’s how rare triple-doubles still are in the WNBA, which makes Shepard’s all-around impact even more impressive.

In a league filled with elite scorers, Shepard is proving how valuable complete basketball can still be.

At this rate, how many triple-doubles could she realistically finish this season? 👀
