03/02/2025
For our initial 2024-2025 in the ABA Season it was definitely an experience.
Gathering players that came from other teams last year.
Players who played together before in the gym and now on the Orcas.
Players who created a family affair bringing close relatives..
And players who were complete strangers or maybe seen each other on Social Media.
To have a Coach who played Basketball, Coached his own Children and Children in the Community to come out of retirement and Coach grown men in a way he has never done before.
To have GM who has been a close friend of mind in the Sports space and has Coached children in AAU programs before and teach what it takes to chase that hoop dream in middle school.
And then there was me.. Seeing an opportunity to stay connected to a sport that gave me mental stability and love for the game itself.. Then physically not being able to play as I used to.. Then seeking God for ways to give back to young men around emotional intelligence and tools to living life in an experience of freedom and peace of mind.
A lot was accomplished and I am grateful for this opportunity to experience the ups and downs and sideways this life around the ABA looks on the court of life.
For those who watched in the wings and those who made it known.. Thank you.
Letโs see what happens in the off season..
