Hairdressers do we not have any responsibility to look after our own ? The privileged are never truly able to decide where the problem lays because they have never seen the full picture . It doesn’t mean working class women can’t make it it means it comes at a bigger cost and it shouldn’t have to , and especially when these women have children , the risk of that so called choice , means they’ll choose safety . It doesn’t mean you can’t experience trauma and do great things but even that itself is a privilege. The world is taught greed is normal . That we shouldn’t support and share with the “weak” . But little do a lot of people know it’s others greed that’s the weakness causing these vulnerabilities. And why share the fruits of everyone’s collectively labor when you’ve already got your privileged mits on it … that’s the weakness. #hairdresser #hairstylist #haireducation

Definitely the highlight of the summer working on wigs for this project. Bits and bobs of knotting fronts, styling, and extensions, as well as covering set. I’ve always heard music videos are rough, but this experience was a pleasure.

Lots of firsts….First music video (not too shabby). First in person meeting of my long time colleagues Maurice Neuhaus and Jennifer Mullins . And first meeting and working with our DH and new friend Shay Ashual . It was a dream team and I hope for more collabs in the future. So grateful for the opportunity. ♥️
