⁣Thinking of all the places I’ll go in these cute sandals once outside opens up. ⠀

Side note: I may never wear these sandals outside because they’re just too cute to risk getting dirty. Ya know the color white attracts the most dirt 😩. @ Los Angeles, California

⁣What camera or camera accessory (e.g. lens, light) is at the top of your wish list?⠀

Mine: Canon 24-70mm lens and Canon 5D Mark IV camera (Christmas is around the corner, so gone ahead and write this down 😂😂)

⁣I had every intention of recording some content today. But as luck would have it, my LAST pair of eyelashes JUMPED out of my hand and landed right in the toilet 😔. ⠀

So my plans for a productive day were literally flushed down the toilet 😩. ⠀

Moral of the story: Keep your eyelash stash replenished and away from toilets 😩

My name is O-N-Y to the E-zy! Hello, hello to all of my new faces around here 🙋🏾‍♀️⠀⠀
⠀⠀
1. I LOVE a good power suit, especially this one from 😍. Gives me all the Olivia Pope vibes. ⠀⠀
2. I grew up wanting to be an attorney (thus the power suit obsession lol).⠀⠀
3. I graduated from (undergrad)🐻 and (grad)✌🏾⠀⠀
4. I bought my first big girl camera in 2010, right before I moved to Cambodia. I just KNEW I was going to be documenting some thangs. It mainly collected a lot of Cambodian dust out there 😂😭⠀⠀
5. I’m engaged to be married 💍! We were hoping to have our ceremony this year, but 2020 was like ‘nah fam’ 😩⠀⠀
6. I left my full time gig in 2018 to become a full-time SM Consultant and Content Creator. I’m two years in and by the grace of God, ‘I’m still standing! I’m still strong!’⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Okay, I think that about covers it! Thanks again for hitting that follow button 🥰.⠀⠀

⁣Who’s down for another FREE 7-day boot camp here on the ‘gram?⠀

After yesterday’s post, it’s become even more clear to me that we’re all tired of getting the short end of the stick when it comes to brand collaborations 🤬. We 👏🏾 are 👏🏾 tired! ⠀

So next week, I’ll be launching another 7-day boot camp. This one will be all about getting . I’ll be sharing my experience/knowledge as both an influencer and social media strategist. And I’m hopeful that other influencers with experience and knowledge will chime in as well during the 7 days! ⠀

If you have any questions about getting paid for collabs, please be sure to drop them down below or shoot me a DM! They’ll help me narrow down my topics for the seven days.

Can anyone help me make sense of this? Anybody? ⠀

Unfortunately, this is far too common in this industry. There’s a CLEAR disparity between what black influencers and non-black influencers are being compensated for collaborations. Here are a few questions I’d love for us to have an open dialogue about:⠀

✨ Do you feel like you’re being paid your worth for collaborations?⠀
✨ Do you ordinarily have conversations with other influencers about rates?⠀
✨ How can we close the compensation gap between black and white influencers?⠀

Thank you ladies for bringing this conversation to the forefront 🙌🏾🙌🏾

We are BLACK WOMEN! WE MOST DEFINITELY HAVE A VOICE! We don’t tear down other BLACK WOMEN! We have felt the pain of NOT BEING HEARD! & we have decided we will be deliberate about building others! If I didn’t tag you, please don’t be offended. I tried picking people I thought would do this challenge! All too often, we find it easier to criticize each other, instead of building each other up! With all the negativity going around let’s do something positive!! 💫Upload 1 picture of yourself. Only you, then tag as many sisters to do the same. Let’s build ourselves up, instead of tearing ourselves down! 💛💛 copy and paste 💛💛 if I tagged you
