Created over 2,200 years ago by Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, the Terracotta Army is a remarkable display of ancient craftsmanship and military organization.
This massive underground army is estimated to have around 8,000 life-sized soldiers, along with 130 chariots, 520 horses, and 150 cavalry horses, all carefully crafted to guard the emperor in the afterlife.
The exact number of statues is still unknown, as large parts of the site remain buried. Ongoing excavations suggest that more figures, artifacts, and possibly Qin Shi Huangβs actual tomb may still be hidden in the unexcavated areas of the complex
