Metastatic Breast Cancer is what took my mothers' life. Pink is not a cure for this disease, but pink and helps us remember to do self-checks, schedule our follow ups, book our mammograms and check in on each other. So, yes...I love pink and all it stands for. There is no cure of , but you can live with this disease, and I know a few who currently are. Be aware and take care of yourself.

There is possibility of longevity of life while living with . Our Michigan run supports Dr. Sofia Merajver at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center and her years of research of this incurable disease. Dr. Merajver has patients who have been living for years with this form of . We are honored to give the proceeds of that event to her. She's one of the best in the country!

Friday, October 13th is a day we think about Metastatic Breast Cancer. There is no cure for this cancer, but there is treatment. Pink does not cure cancer..no. But what does, is help us learn and become aware of those around us who are fighting this disease.

This is my beautiful friend, Jaime Jenkins. I've spoken of her here plenty... her breast cancer returned for the 4th time and after some treatment, it's growing. This woman has the faith of nearly no one I've ever seen, the courage of all the lions in the world and love so abundant it falls on you, even as you see a picture of her. It's no doubt this is hard to be dealing with again...please join me in prayer for this amazing, bold woman.
