Through my work in television, print, and with private clients I have discovered if one of these holistic elements is missing then one is struggling to find the others. This imbalance is somewhat of a perfect storm to failure for finding that holistic lifestyle that is the infrastructure of the so-called “American Dream” we all strive for. The imbalance of the big three can lead to many challenges such as, health issues (physical and mental), insecurities (body image, intimacy) and family health (the state of a happy home-life). I feel that exercise is the key factor of the three. Exercise opens you to the dwelling of mental and emotional connections with ones’ self, a time for the individual to be healthy in mind and body. Training involves commitment, dedication, and sweat to achieve optimal results. I mentor and support my clients to develop commitment and discipline for a healthier lifestyle, therefore making exercise second nature.

[03/05/14]   A Sugar-Free NUTRITION TIP: "Challenge yourself to reduce extra sugar in your diet. Avoid diet products or things that contain artificial sweeteners. For breakfast, try plain yogurt or breakfast cereals with zero grams sugar [oatmeal is a great choice]. Snacks!!...try plain, unsalted nuts or almond butter sandwiches on Ezekial (high fiber/low cal) bread instead of granola bars. This will help you re-learn to appreciate the natural sweetness in wholesome food, which will increase your enjoyment of sweet fruits and desserts when you have them."

2) Carry a gym bag in your car in case the opportunity presents itself
3) Take the stairs, do squats, lunges etc.. while waiting for the microwave, photocopier etc..

4 sushi-grade steaks(3oz. Each), salt&pepper, nonstick cooking spray, 12oz. Slim green beans trimmed, juice and grated zest of 1 lemon, 1 garlic clove(minced), 2tblspoons Wasabi paste, 4 scallions (sliced thin on the diagonal), 3 tablespoons black sesame seeds.

[08/30/11]   So I've realized how much unhealthy food can affect your life even for the short term. I have a cheat day every Sunday. I indulge in any food my stomach desires...mmm...then wake up Monday morning feeling old, exhausted, sweaty, and bloated. Makes me get back to my nutrition the rest of the week. An unhealthy lifestyle affects us in every aspect of our lives. Physically, mentally, and emotionally. Don't let it get you. Get in shape!! Change your life.

[08/27/11]   After foot surgery, I've lost 20 pounds in 12 weeks. I've learned more about myself as a trainer, and what my clients go through than I have over the last 11 years in this industry! [08/18/11]   SNACKING 101 - Healthy snacking improves overall health, curbs cravings, fights weight gain, regulates mood, boosts brain power and gives you energy to keep going all day.
Snack: Portobello Mushroom w/ Mozzarella and Tomato
103 cal,3.9g fat, 10.6g carbs,9.1g protein
1 Portobello
2 tomato slices
2.5 tbsp low fat cheese
pinch oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt
Bake mushroom at 425F for 10 minutes, remove and layer with toppings, return to oven and roast until cheese melts about 5 minutes.

If you do the same routine over and over, muscles will adapt; then you hit a plateau. If you challenge muscles by adding or alternating moves, you'll get more fibers involved and have more results.
For each muscle group, learn 2 or 3 new exercises. If you usually do the dumbbell chest press on a flat bench, try an incline. If you use the chest-press machine, try dumbbell chest press. Expand your knowledge so you can change your routine every 3-4 weeks.
