[04/03/17] Squats for days
Oh for the love of a$$. ... So today I hit legs ... Or better said glutes, I'm talking pull yourself off the equipment with your upper body leg day. I did some unconventional moves today and now I am toast!! anyone care to give my leg day a go?? Feel free to ask about any of the exercises :
Warm up - deep plié squat, quad/ hip flexor stretch, one set 10 regular back squat and sliding lunge w just the bar.
Tri Set -- x5
bar+ weight (start light) seriously
➡️sliding single leg squatx10
➡️slide (no up down) x10
➡️plié squat x10
Super set x3
➡️reverse hack squat x20 (close stance)
➡️single leg press x10
- last set 15-20
Super set x3
➡️bench step over x12 (holding plate like front squat)
➡️single leg RDL x10 w bar
Super set x3 each side
➡️cable glute extension x20
➡️cable lateral glute extension x12
Super set x4
➡️heavy glute bridges x20
***i use the prone leg curl machine for this one it doesn't hurt my hips as much as having the bar loaded up :)
➡️abductor machine x15 (also known as the good girl bad girl machines 😝)
Then you fall over and cry 😀

[02/11/15] I suppose now is as good a time as any! I was keeping it a little on the down low, but I figured I would officially announce I am competing again! Whoo after 2 years of working on repairing what I screwed up last time 😁with the help of @davidkimmerle and team DK I will be taking the stage with several other teammates and kicking some serious b***y .. The only thing that I see that is distinctly different about me is I'm not afraid to die on a treadmill. I will not be out-worked, period. You might have more talent than me, you might be smarter than me, you might be sexier than me, you might be all of those things you got it on me in nine categories. But if we get on the treadmill together, there's two things: You're getting off first, or I'm going to die. It's really that simple, right?
You're not going to out-work me. It's such a simple, basic concept. The guy who is willing to hustle the most is going to be the guy that just gets that loose ball. The majority of people who aren't getting the places they want or aren't achieving the things that they want in this business is strictly based on hustle. It's strictly based on being out-worked; it's strictly based on missing crucial opportunities. I say all the time if you stay ready, you ain't gotta get ready.
Today I was thinking I would just sleep all day and do nothing because I woke up feeling bummed, unmotivated and just not caring. But then I remembered that's not me. I could do that no problem but then I would feel even worse about the day, probably mess up my diet for lack of caring, then I would be mad at myself for not trying to fix my attitude in the beginning. So instead of doing nothing - I went to the gym and made myself talk to people and smile and pretend to be happy until I actually was

So as of this Saturday I will officially be 16 weeks out from my 1st goal of the year -- more to come-- I have been working hard for the past 5 months to put on muscle and all together fix my metabolism from my previous shows. I went into competitions with absolutely no idea what I was doing I looked to professionals in the industry and trusted the information they were giving me -- but in the end I rebounded so badly after the shows I couldn't see what I had done to my body and so it spent all last year fighting back -- now I am eating more, looking leaner and ready to kick butt this year

[01/15/14] Hey guys we are 1/2 way through January -- who has stuck with all the many resolutions we all made? If you have or haven't what are they? And why/why not?
My morning looked a little different lol but still I know what you mean!
4:30 eggs and oats
5:00 am client
6:15 4 mile run
7:45 chicken sweet potato broccoli
8:00 am client
And just think that's more food before 8am than most people eat before 8pm lol
It's 7:30 and I already trained 1 person and ran 4 miles and had breakfast and took a shower

So, I try to mind my own business in the gym do my thing and get out --
As we all know there are often some questionable moves done by others -- and even ourselves -- I like to try different things out from time to time that may look a bit odd-- however I am making sure all the basics are being applied especially when it comes to safety of myself and others.
That said I keep my mouth shut when I see others doing their thing -- that is UNLESS it is obviously dangerous to others.
There was a couple working out today, the young male was teaching his girlfriend how to do a squat off the rack... Backwards.
I said nothing until they loaded weight on the bar. I went over and asked if they would mind if I showed them a safer and more effective way to remove a loaded bar -- the girl eagerly said yes and the guy nodded and stepped back.
I demonstrated how to remove the bar and then replaced it and briefly explained why this was much safer -- even the girl went "ohhh so I can see where I'm going!!!" Again the guy nodded.
I apologized for interrupting. She thanked me and I went back to my workout.
I glanced over and she followed what I had shown them. Looked back, he had doubled the weight and stepped off backwards as he had been doing -- completely ignoring what I had shown. When he went to rack it at the end of his set -- he missed one side the bar slipped off landed on the ground and made a nice loud noise that shook the room.
I am very thankful that neither of them were injured, however
SERIOUSLY !! I get it -- trying to impress your chick with all you clearly don't know in the gym --- use your head!! Be smart already
[12/13/13] Headaches make working out tough --
[12/05/13] alright so it looks like diet for this show is going to be my biggest challenge. The workouts are fun, been working with Team DK this year trying to build a physique I am proud of. Its time for me to stop making excuses stop thinking about it and instead making my goals a reality. I've done it before and I will do it again --- the difference will be I will come in Better than before
