College Ready workshop days for middle school students and College Bound workshops for High School students at LA Boys & Girls Club!

Mock elections at the Club today as the country votes in our next set of representatives. Our kids had the chance to meet both candidates for Mayor and ask questions on key issues impacting our community!

Today, on Indigenous Peoples' Day, we recognize and celebrate our Indigenous communities and their rich cultures, as well as reflect on our country's dark history of racism and injustice.

It is a painful day in Los Angeles as we hear the news of sitting LA council members promulgating the same racist, divisive, anti-indigenous, anti-black, anti-LGBTQIA rhetoric that we fight to better every day in our BIPOC communities. We fully condemn all reprehensible remarks by councilmembers as well as those of LA County Federation of Labor President in recently leaked recordings.  Los Angeles is a beautiful place full of a diverse people who deserve, and demand, better from our elected officials.
 
Moments like this refuel our commitment to promoting safe, positive and inclusive environments for all youth in our beloved city. The Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club supports ALL youth and teens – of every race, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, ability, socio-economic status, and religion – in reaching their full potential.
 
It’s more important than ever to continue fostering solidarity and unity within our diverse communities, and we are committed to that mission.

Fitness Challenge Week at Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club:
Attorneys at Foley & Lardner and kids from LA Boys & Girls Club challenged themselves and each other to see how many steps they could take over a one week period. Elevating our fitness through competition…Congrats to our kids and all the participants !
