Full circle.
.
I started my gym in my garage in 2013. A year later, I had enough clients to quit my job and move into a brick and mortar space down the street. I ran HS&C in that location for the last six years. Last month, I officially handed the reins over to my good friend and fellow strength coach @coachkelskegts of @gametimestrength and moved my coaching practice back to a newly redesigned garage studio.
.
COVID did a number on a lot of small businesses. We tried to weather the storm, but it just wasn’t viable. At a certain point, it’s no longer an emotional decision, but more of a simple math problem.
.
I’ve talked to countless clients over the years that came into the gym devastated, depressed, and scared because they lost their job, and I always told them the same thing, “I’ve never met anyone in your shoes that, within three months, didn’t say getting laid off was the best thing that could have happened.”
.
Change is often hard, but almost always good.
.
Working out of a smaller footprint is forcing me to get creative with my business model again, and I’m beyond excited for the next chapter.
.

It was a long day of driving, hauling, lifting and unloading, but our clients seemed petty grateful to have a way to get back under the bar.
