Is exercising during pregnancy safe?
Not only is exercise during pregnancy safe, it is strongly recommended!
Prenatal exercise may seem scary but studies show that it is one of the best things you can do for both you AND your baby.
Here are a few of the many reasons why you should exercise:
👼Feel good as your body changes.
👼Promote muscle tone, stamina and strength.
👼Reduce leg and back pain, constipation, swelling and bloating.
👼Promote blood circulation and possibly help prevent varicose veins.
👼Help your posture and balance, which is very important as your center of gravity shifts.
👼Reduce risk of preeclampsia and gestational diabetes.
👼Prepare your body for labor and childbirth.

Raw vegan energy balls
Hazelnut tahini date balls:
2 cups pitted dates
1 jar tehini (tj)
1 cup raw hazelnuts
Blend together in a food processor and roll in to balls (optional to add coconut)
Keep in freezer/refrigerator
Adding or eating fruit for your morning meal contributes many benefits to your overall health.��🍏Strengthen the Immune System:�Fruit is high in vitamin C and antioxidants which help to boost the immune system throughout the day.
🍉Weight Loss:�Fruit helps the body go through a detoxification phase that helps rid the body of excess toxins which help the body to lose weight.
�🍌Energy:�Fruit helps to boost your metabolism and has natural sugars that give the body natural energy throughout the day instead of depending on sugary caffeine options that tend to give temporary energy.
�🍓Improves the Digestive System:�Because fruit is packed with fiber and nutrients it helps to stimulate the digestion and cleanse the colon. Food that helps promote healthy digestion include berries, bananas, prunes, figs, and avocado. Eating foods high in fiber can help reduce the risk of heart disease, obesity, and diabetes.

Hummus with cauliflower and Zatar.
1 can organic garbanzo beans rinsed
1/2 cup of raw tehini
1 piece of garlic
1 cup of water
Pinch of salt
Blend in a food processor/blender (
if the texture comes out too think add more water.)
preheat oven to 400
1 head of cauliflower sliced
Bake with garlic salt, pepper and olive oil for about 30-40 min or until golden.
Add to your hummus and drizzle some olive oil, zatar and parsley/cilantro.

A daily routine provides structure and a logical sequence in our lives. It provides the framework within which we live our lives and conduct our daily activities. Soon we become familiar and comfortable with what we have to do each day. It allows us to experience a flow to our day.

While our routine helps us develop good habits that are in line with exploiting our full potential, it also helps to eradicate bad habits that do not serve us well. We can slowly replace our bad habits with good ones through repetition.

2 Tips on staying positive:
1. Separate Fact From Fiction☝️
The first step in learning to focus on the positive requires knowing how to stop negative self talk.
The more you ruminate on negative thoughts, the more power you give them. Most of our negative thoughts are just thoughts, not facts so stop giving it energy.
2.Cultivate An Attitude Of Gratitude
Take time to contemplate what you’re grateful for. 🤩
Any time you experience negative or pessimistic thoughts, use this as a cue to shift gears and think about something positive. In time, a positive attitude will become a way of life.
Vegan Chocolate mousse and guilt free🍫😱
Only 2 ingredients and so easy!
Recipe for about 10 servings:
2 cans coconut milk
1 can coconut cream
1 and a half packs of chocolate chips (I used @lilys_sweets bc it’s sugar free)
Heat up on the stove top the coconut milk and cream and add the chocolate chips. Mix together until the chocolate is completely melted. Pour into jars and refrigerate for about six hours.
Top it with fruit of choice (I used raspberries and dried coconut)
This past Sunday I decided to take it easy and skip the gym.
When I have days like that I always try and stay active.
I’ll usually walk on the beach , Rollerblade or take a chill yoga class.
So We walked on the beach and stopped at a fun bar called @thewaterfrontvenice that has a bunch of fun games and one of them was Ping Pong. I haven’t played ping pong in years and had such a blast. 🏓😎

How to stay motivated and live a balanced life ⛹️♀️🏋️💪🧘♀️🍰☺️🤼♀️👯♀️😅🥳🤸♂️💗Make it fun ————————————————————————Try and do any physical activity that you love to do.�For example:�walking and listening to a podcast, dancing in your room with blasting music or taking a dancing class, boxing, hiking with your dogs or swimming. �It doesn’t have to be a anything specific as long as your committed to doing it.�I find it much easier to commit to something you love to do than something you can’t stand. Doing something you dislike might get you through a week, but after a while you will give up. �Try to be realistic and know what works for you and what you’ll actually
do. �The main thing is we need to move our body one way or another, so why not make it fun!🤸♂️🤸♂️🤸♂️🤸♂️
💪Have a friend keep you accountable ————————————————————————Having a friend or a partner to hold you accountable is extremely helpful to helping you stay on track and a reminder to not give up on your goals 🤼♀️🧘♀️🏌️♀️🏋️
💪Balance is key ————————————————————————�Having a cheat day once a week and rewarding yourself with something you love will actually help you keep your goals on track.�It’s so important to give your body some rest and enjoy the little things in your life.�rewarding yourself by getting a ice cream on the weekend or a slice of pizza (all in moderation) is totally fine and extremely important for your life.�Be preset and control yourself without putting yourself down and letting yourself go. �Balance is key!

Happy Sunday 🌞 this morning I was craving something warm and filling before I hit the gym and decided to make oatmeal for the hubs and me.
For two servicing use 1 cup gluten free oats (Trader Joe’s)
1 Tbsp honey, 1/2 Tbsp pumpkin spice or cinnamon and 2 cups almond milk.
Stir in the pot on low until the oats fluff up and add toppings of choice.
(I did banana, raspberries, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and almond butter)

The idea of working out can sometimes get overwhelming especially to those who don’t work out on a regular basis.
