Los Angeles, CA – Royal Ringball LLC® presents a special one-night industry showcase performance of In the Realm of the Maya:

The Rising of Royal Ringball taking place on Saturday, April 28, 2018, 6PM to 8PM at Plaza de la Raza located at 3540 N. Mission Road in Los Angeles, CA 90031.

Then the audience will be taken back 3000 years into The Realm of the Maya: The Rising of Royal Ringball – The game of Gods and Kings with the stage performance. This Earth Week Fest presentation rings the alarm on the dangers of ignoring Mother Earth’s warnings. Today our Earth is in peril with the depletion of our natural resources, much like the Maya civilization when it came to its final end. And just like the youth of today, the Maya youth take matters into their own hands and challenged the Gods to a game of Pok-a-Tok to save their civilization.

In the Realm of the Maya is directed by award-winning actor/director Enrique Castillo (Weeds, Blood In Blood Out) and produced by Latin Heat Entertainment’s Bel Hernandez, featuring a cast of dynamic seasoned actors including David Blak, Erik Gavika, Karina Noelle, Kelvin Morales, Marisa Lopez, Marissa Herrera, Nicole Blairetsai, Raul Cardona, Sal Lopez, Sally Pan, Sol Castillo and Tiffany Hsu. Choreographer Laurie Muniz and musical director Martin Espino.

In the Realm of the Maya will be the culmination of a week-long celebration, Earth Week Fest, presented by Plaza de la Raza and Royal Ringball®. This live stage production will give audiences a sneak peak of the developing arena show tour and will showcase the exciting first act of an elaborate and spectacular three-act production. Guests will include entertainment industry executives, top national live entertainment promoters, members of the news media and a limited number of general admission tickets will be released on a first come-first served basis.

A private VIP reception will follow.

“It is a family show that educates the public about a period and place in history which contributed to so much in our society today,” explained Martin Zitter, show creator, and writer. “And, it stimulates our youth’s hunger to learn about their heritage and instill in them cultural pride as well as educating them about the mistakes we’ve made in the past that ended a civilization – a consequence that we are bound to relive if we continue to make the same mistakes over and over again. Best of all, it will promote positive change.”

In the Realm of the Maya sponsors LA DWP, Dia de los Puercos, Agua Lucha, Boca de Agua, Latin Heat Entertainment, The Herrera Agency and partners LADOT, Bio Citizen, Sierra Club, Trust For Public Land, Luxe Paws, California Native Plant Society, Imaging LA, and LA County Bicycle Coalition for their support. “We are thrilled to have attracted the interest and count on the support of this impressive group of important companies and organizations,” said Maria Jimenez-Torres, Executive Director, Plaza de la Raza.
