What's the Hidden Cause of your Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? πŸ€”πŸ€”

That's right, there could be a muscle that is causing all the issues in your wrist. The Pronator Teres is muscle that wraps around the front of your forearm& it just happens to lay on top of the Median Nerve. When that Pronator Teres muscle gets irritated &"tight" it will press on that nerve &cause Carpal Tunnel Syndrome like symptoms.

The first &most common is from overuse. When you use a muscle more often than it was designed to be used, &mix that with MISUSE of that muscle, you find symptoms in-line with Tendonitis. Now, we have some good and bad news. Tendonitis is a nasty thing that most Clinicians resort to rest and ice. Even though that is the most common recommendation, it leaves helpless. Soft Tissue treatment, such as Active Release Technique or IASTM is one of the most effective treatments, but it can be costly and time consuming for the average person.

That is why we made the RIPPLE. Our device provides the treatment of a clinician, at the convenience of your home!

"My knee is killing me", is something I hear all too often. You might have pain in a few places on your knee, but a common place I see athletes complaining about is under the knee cap. This is very common with explosive athletes, such as CrossFit, track and field, basketball, etc. This can be caused by a few things.

#1: The most common thing I see while testing a patient's movement is a muscle imbalance between the Quadriceps and the Hamstrings. The hamstrings are very important in the stability of the knee.

#2: Tight IT Bands, are also a strong culprit. When the IT band becomes stiff and tight, it will begin to pull on the tibia and rotate the knee. This rotation causes the Patella (knee cap) to get kicked off the tracks. When the Patella is pulled to one side, and the tracking gets kicks off, it begins to grind on the Femur. In short, it irritates the knee and causes tendinitis in the Patellar Tendon.

#3: Decreased Range of motion in the hip or ankle. When one joint does not move as much as it was designed to move. It causes the other joints to move more, this added range of motion wears out the tendons and causes issues everywhere else. Think about it as a ripple effect.

We will be having a webinar very soon addressing more common concerns that athletes encounter. Stay connected!

This is the Psoas Major! You feel it's wrath when it's tight from sitting or moving with improper form. This muscle can lead to a lack of squat depth, low back pain, anterior hip pain (you know that stabbing pain while squatting or running) and a mess of other problems with knees and spine. This one muscle can even lead to feeling like you have a hernia!
We will soon be releasing some warmup and warm down content so this guys can give you a break. Used right, this muscle is powerful in balance and performance, used wrong....well pain is in the horizon.
