Came for a dance lesson, left with a life lesson. 💡Ahead of the Primetime Emmys in a few weeks (AND the new season of @dancingabc @derekhough is judging AND his Vegas residency) I interviewed Derek about his two nominations. As he taught me a few of his famous steps, I couldn’t catch on until, as he kept telling me to do, I locked eyes with him on every turn. It came so easily then. As he shared with me afterwards, “where focus goes, energy flows.” Whether that’s what we focus on in life, social media or otherwise…..so determines our energy. It seems so simple and common sense, but it’s very hard to live out - and a positive shift in energy after a focus change often happens without us even knowing it. 🙌🏼 💃🏻Fun and insightful day - and thank you @anisadance for letting us use your studio.
